Урок для 10 класу за підручником А. Несвіт на тему "Natural Disaster"

We live in a magic world. This wonderful world is our nature. Nature gives us life. Nature teaches us to be kind and clever, attentive and creative. It teaches to understand the world around us. Summarizing T: In conclusion, I must say that many scientists and world leaders realise that the Earth is in danger. There is only one way out of this trouble: either we stop killing the Earth or we kill ourselves. We should think about future generations. And now let’s have a relax and listen a song “ A Beautiful Lie” of the famous rock group “Thirty Seconds to Mars”

T. According to EMI Japan, the video for "A Beautiful Lie" was going to be shot in both Alaska and the North Pole. Jared Leto then moved the video to Greenland and Iceland. The video for "A Beautiful Lie" was shot in August 2007 in Greenland. Jared has said that the video will be environmentally safe and for every download of the video, it will go to an environmental charity. Jared Leto has said on an over-the-phone interview with 99X in Atlanta that the video will be like a short film and a documentary.[2]

On 28 January it was aired through MySpace and on MTV. The video is showing the importance of global warming. The video was directed by Angakok Panipaq (a pseudonym for Leto based on a character from an Inuit children's book, SPIRITS IN THE SNOWHOUSE: THE INUIT ANGAKOK ). The video features hidden frames of coal emissions into the environment, dead animals and a cemetery of white crosses. A global warming support website is given at the end of the video abeautifullie.org.

The music video has recently been shown through Rock Sound Magazines website and MySpaceTV. The Rock Sound article can be found online.[3]

The video is a montage of images of the Greenland environment interwoven with scenes of the band playing on the edge of an iceberg.

T: I hope that you - our builders of future life -will become thoughtful about the relations between people and nature. I hope that you understand that the problem of pollution hasn't any borders and we have to protect nature in all the countries, in the whole world.

Our lesson is coming to its finish and I want to thank everybody who took part in our work. Our work was great and we'll continue it in our next lessons..

To sum up their discussion the pupils read the words from the screen:

We wish you always:

Air to breathe,

Fire to warm you,

Water to drink and

the Earth to live in.

We wish this to you from my heart'

which can be regarded as the message to the coming generations.

I hope you`ll find the way to help Nature and to protect yourselves from natural disasters. Oskar Wild said: “Who are you to bring the pain into God`s world?” Let`s bring happiness and peace. I am happy to have an opportunity to work with such audience. You`ve heard a lot of information. Share it with the other people.

  1. Teacher: I`d like you to fill in a self-assessment card at the end of the lesson.
