Theme : Baby animals.
Objective : practice patter; repeat lexical units on the topic "animals and their sounds"; develop speaking, reading, writing, listening skills; teach students to use interrogative sentences with verb “can”; to bring up love for animals; to train attention; to learn the plural of nouns;
Equipment : cards with task, videos, books, workbooks, cards with animals.
Procedure :
I.Organization moment.
1.Greeting.(the greeting takes the form of a dialogue)
-Good morning, children!
-Good morning, teacher!
-How are you, today!
-We are fine, thank you.
2.Warming up.(phonetic charging)
(Students repeat the patter after the teacher)
Hickety ,pickety , my black cat
Likes to sit in my blue hat.
(the patter is repeated many times , each time faster)
3.Homework check.
II.Main part.
1.Physical activity.(teacher asks questions , pupils imitate movements)
Can you swim like a fish?
Can you fly like a butterfly?
Can you walk like an elephant?
Can you purr like a cat?
Can you jump like a rabbit?
Can you hop like a frog?
Can you tweet like a bird?
2.Learning new words: piglet, lamb, kid, duckling, calf. (repeat after the teacher , and then in turn several times) .
3.The teacher says : “I have got a duckling”
I have got a calf
I have got a piglet
I have got a kid
I have got a lamb” pupils in turn goes to the board and takes the picture in question. The pupils called again baby animals.
4.Ex.1 p.47(w/b) unscramble, match and write.
5.Match the big animals and the baby animals.
