Introduction
In this lesson students will be presented a target language by means of common vocabulary. They will have to use inductive way of getting information through the guided discovery.

Aim: to introduce the topic
Procedure: learners listen to the poetry Good and Evil written by Mark Spencer. They need to describe the feeling that they had while listening. In groups of three, students need to complete the verse with their own words.
STAGE 2:

Aim: to enable learners to use critical thinking skills.
Procedure: students split into two groups and teacher shows an image from A Game of Shadows. One group needs to write all the possible questions and the other group should write all the possible answers. In a five minutes learners ask and answer in a ping pong way.

Aim: to introduce some specific information about the author of Sherlock Holmes and the main character.
Procedure: learners need to guess the words out of the proposed images.

Aim: to review some target language vocabulary.
Procedure: students watch a trailer; split into three groups (9) and there are two spies. Learners need to write adjectives describing Sherlock, Watson and Moriarty. When they are ready with adjectives, students re-group into three groups one from the group Sherlock, one from the group Watson and one from the group Moriarty). They describe their characters using the adjectives they have written. Spies need to write all the adjectives from the lists. They read the adjectives and try to guess the character it describes. (SB ex.1, p. 58)

Aim: to practice finding specific information in the text.
Procedure: Students are in groups of three, one student highlights adjectives, one student dictates them, one student writes them down. (SB ex.2, p.58)
