ВІДКРИТОГО УРОКУ З АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ У
11 КЛАСІ
ТЕМА УРОКУ: «ЗАХОПЛЕННЯ ПІДЛІТКІВ»
(у межах циклу уроків за темою«Молодіжні субкультури»)

ТЕМА та ПІДТЕМА УРОКУ: Хобі. Захоплення підлітків.
МЕТА УРОКУ: розвивати мовні та мовленнєві компетенції учнів, зокрема навички аудіювання, читання, письма та усного мовлення, розширювати кругозір учнів, знайомлячи їх із переліком цікавих захоплень, збагачувати лексичний запас школярів, закріплювати на практиці граматичні навички учнів за темою «Умовні речення в англійській мові», виховувати почуття патріотизму та любові до рідного краю. Стимулювати учнів та розвивати їхній інтерес до подальшого вивчення англійської мови.
Матеріали та обладнання: підручник, проектор, комп’ютер, плакат із висловлюваннями про хобі, роздаткові картки
Хід уроку
І. Привітання. Мовна розминка. Представлення гостей.
- Good morning pupils. Sit down, please. So, let’s start! Tell me, how are you today? Are you fine? Do you like todays’ weather? What weather do you prefer, rainy or sunny? Is autumn your favourite season? By the way, who’s on duty today? Who’s absent?
ІІ. Вступна частина уроку.
1) «Мозковий штурм»- Pupils, now have a look at the blackboard. What do you see? Here we have some quotes. Let’s read them. (pupils read the quotes)
- So, what is the common word or idea that unites all the five quotations? Yes, that’s right, they all speak about hobbies. So, we continue our work from the previous lesson which had the theme “Hobbies”, but we shall expand it today and we will speak about the hobbies of young people, teenagers. So, the theme of today’s lesson is:

2) фонетична корекція: практикування вимови короткого звуку [o] у словах hobby, technologies, often, monotony, what, pocket.
ІІІ. Основна частина уроку.
- For your hometask you had to prepare an oral report about what you used to do when you were young children . Let’s listen to the reports you’ve prepared.

- Well, let’s listen to a short text and follow it on the screen. Your task is to remember what hobbies are mentioned in the text and name as many of them as possible.

- playing computer games, watching television, playing sports, doing exercises in a gym, going for walks, riding a bicycle, lifting weights, collecting things, travelling, listening to music, playing an instrument, singing, reading a book.
- Now, let’s listen to another text. It will be about hobbies of Ukrainian teenages. Maybe you will recognize some of hobbies , that you do.

HOBBIES OF UKRAINIAN TEENAGERS
The Ukrainian teenage people like to sing. Someone makes singing their profession in future. Some are just happy to take part in various competitions. They sing not only a large number of high-quality modern Ukrainian popular songs, but also a huge selection of Ukrainian folk songs.
Along with singing, Ukrainian teenagers like dancing. There are many dancing groups in every big city. Even small towns have at least two of them.
It goes without saying that embroidery is the most popular hobby of Ukrainian girls and, sometimes, even boys. Every region of Ukraine has its own style or pattern of embroidery. The embroidered towel is the symbol of life. The embroidered shirt is believed to contain powerful energy. The modern variant of embroidery is with beads instead of threads.
Alongside with embroidery goes knitting and beads craft. Mothers and grannies usually knit warm sweaters, socks or coats for winter. They teach their young daughters to do the same. Using beads you can make beautiful necklaces or bracelets, or simply decorate your cloths.
It would be unfair not to mention sport as the hobby of many Ukrainian teenagers. They like sport, especially football. Many young people in Ukraine can’t imagine their life without playing football or being a devoted football fan.
Photography is becoming more and more popular with the Ukrainian teenagers. A lot of them make photography their future profession. It is difficult to find a young person among the Ukrainians who is indifferent to taking beautiful pictures.
Playing the guitar is a hobby for every one in five teenagers. You can even make money with that. And it is never boring to listen to your friend, who’s playing a favourite piece of music on the guitar.
What about fishing and gardening or growing flowers? They are also popular.
Next in the list are travelling and drawing. With modern travel agencies you can go wherever you like and your money allows you do it. As for drawing, young people are fond of it. A popular trend nowadays is drawing sand pictures.
These are only some of the numerous hobbies Ukrainian teenagers enjoy, but one and only passion that unites all of them is love to their wonderful motherland – UKRAINE.
4) Розвиток граматичних навичок та навичок письма. Ознайомлення з новими ЛО до теми. Робота в парах.
- Now, have a look at the sheets of paper you have on your desks. At the top you have a wordcloud for the word “HOBBY”. At the bottom you have a chart of conditional sentences.
Your task is to combine the information from both pictures and make up sentences, write them down. Work in pairs. So, open your exercise- books, put down the date and write down your sentences. To have the better idea about the task, I will ask some of you to go to the blackboard and write an example sentence.
