T: Now we’ll speak about styles of music. Today we have got 3 guests. They’ll represent a certain style of music. Guess what style of music they ‘ll talk about and ask as much questions as possible to find out more information about styles.
P1: My favourite style of music has been popular in Britain and the United States for over 20 years. The singer speaks or shouts the words in a strong rhythm. This kind of music has developed along with movements in fashion, dance and art. If I were you, I’d listen to it!
P2: Who started it?
P1: They all form part of what is called hip hop culture, which first developed among black young people in American cities. These young people are called usually kids in an American way. Hip hop kids developed their own vocabulary.
P3:How do they usually look?
P1: They go around in small gangs, wearing huge sports shoes, baggy jeans, back-to-front baseball caps and hoods. A small beard is a good idea for the men, as well.
P4: What is the central in your culture?
P1: So words are central in hop culture, which are spoken rather than sung. Hip hop language shows that young people have great faith in words. By changing words they hope they can change the society they live in.

P2: This kind of music is played in a fast, loud, and aggressive way . It appeared in 60s and had its beginnings in the blues, gospel music, and jazz-influenced vocal music popular among African American audiences after World War II. (the second World War)
P3: What is the main feature of this musical style?
P2: The main feature of this musical style is a calling to a society and disagreement with the rules. This call is shown in complex, melodious sounding, and in deep texts, often political or philosophical, and in external shape of musicians, and a manner of their behaviour on a stage.
P4: What musical instruments are used?
P2: In fate electronic musical instruments, and also computer processing of a sound are usually used. The most favourite instrument is an electroguitar. and the bass-guitar and drums are the important parts of performing of such music.

P2: The most known groups in the world are "Pink Floyd", “Beatles”, "Rolling Stones", "Deep Purple", "Yes", "Queen", "Led Zeppelin", "Metallica".

P3: The style of music I represent is an American art form that gained worldwide appeal after World War II (the second World War). it grew from the folk music that was brought to North America by Anglo-Celtic settlers in the seventeen and eighteen centuries. The music changed as it came in contact with ethnic music in Louisiana, with Latin and African music. It has many sources: traditional ballads, cowboy songs, Mexican music and the like.

P3: The violin is the most popular instrument. The banjo was adapted from the African American culture. The guitar, string bass and Hawaiian guitar drums are also used.
