Моя улюблена пора року

(5 клас, за підручником А. Несвіт)

Мета: 

- навчальна : активізувати вживання введених лексичних одиниць та вживання ступенів порівняння прикметників;

- розвивальна: розвивати комунікативні і соціокультурні компетенції учнів у всіх видах мовленнєвої діяльності: аудіюванні, читанні, говорінні, письмі;

- виховна: виховувати бережливе ставлення до природи, що нас оточує, вчити бачити прекрасне!

Обладнання: «Englishby A. Nesvit, роздатковий матеріал; картки із завданнями для аудіювання, читання, письма, робочий зошит, малюнки, слайди, проектор, комп’ютер.

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

Привітання (Greeting).

T:  Good morning, boys and girls! Nice to see you. How are you?

P: We are well, thank you.

T: If so, let`s start our lesson! I hope you will be active and attentive.

Повідомлення теми та мети уроку (Announcing the topic and the aims).

T: Look at the blackboard. The topic of our lesson is in the message and I want you to decode it. An English alphabet will help you.

T: Do you adore winter? Why?

     Is it a beautiful season? 

     What can you do in winter ?

Do you feed birds in cold, snowy days?

T: Now let`s check your homework. Please, show it to me. You had to do ex.6,     p. 101 and to learn new words and word combinations. So, take CARD 1, match the words and make up word combinations.

T: And now let`s have listening.

T: You know that a year has four seasons. Can you name them? What season is it now? And now, I am going to read you the text about winter.

Don`t forget to be attentive.

  1. Етап власне слухання тексту (While-listening activity).

It is very cold to day. And it is no wonder because it is winter now. It often snows and strong winds blow. Sometimes it is slippery and we must be very careful in the street. The trees are bare and black. Very often they are white with snow and very beautiful. Winter is the coldest season in Ukraine. December, January and February are winter months.

It is February now. February is the shortest month of the year. It has only 28 or 29 days. The days become longer and the nights shorter in February. February is sunnier than December.

Children can ski, skate, sledge and play hockey.

Work in pairs. Take turns to talk about your favourite season as in the example. Your friend is to guess what season it is.

Example:

A: When my favorite season comes, the weather is getting warmer. The snow melts and birds come back from the warm countries. Children make bird-houses for them because they take care of nature. You can see the first flowers in the parks and forest.

B: Is it spring?

A: Yes, it is.

A. It`s my favourite season. It`s very cold and it often snows. We can skate on the ice on the lake and sometimes go skiing in the mountains. I can go snowboarding with my friends.

B. I love ... . It`s getting warmer after the long winter. There are flowers and grass in the fields. Sometimes the sky is grey and it rains, but afterwards the sun comes out and the countryside is fresh and green again. The birds are singing and making nests for their babies from early morning till night.  

C. I like the bright colours of the trees in ... . They are red, orange and yellow Sometimes  it`s foggy in the morning. Then the fog goes away and the sky is blue all day long. Later this season the wind is getting colder and it often rains.

It`s very hot and sunny and I go to the beach every day. I can swim and play volleyball with my friends. Sometimes there are thunderstorms - they are really exciting.
