Тема: Ким працюють мої батьки. Формування навичок усної взаємодії

Мета: створити умови для повторення та активізації у мовленні здобувачів освіти вивченої лексики з теми «Jobs», вивчення правил вживання займенників She/He; сприяти розвитку навичок зорового сприймання та сприймання на слух, формування навичок усної взаємодії та писемного продукування, формування мовної здогадки, уваги, впливати на розуміння важливості професій.

Очікувані результати: на кінець уроку учні уміють ідентифікувати більше назв професій, вміти називати професії членів своєї родини, використовуючи займенники She/He.

Ключові компетентності: комунікативність (здатність спілкуватися рідною  та іноземними мовами), соціальна і громадянська компетентності, навчання впродовж життя.

Обладнання: підручник для 2 класу Family and Friends 1 (авт. Наомі Сіммонс), відео, дошка Jam board, тематичні малюнки, гра ‘Jobs and occupations’, презентація.

Хід уроку

1. Початок уроку

1. Greeting

T: Hello everybody!

    How are you?

    Where do you live?

    Where are you from?

    What nationality are you?

Children watch, listen to the video and repeat the words to the sound of sh.

3. Vocabulary revision. Guessing game.

Students watch the video and guess what profession is in the photo.

4. Presenting the subject and the objectives of the lesson

T: So how do you think what topic of our lesson is. Yes, you are right. The topic of our lesson is Jobs. Today we’ll revise how to name different jobs in English, revise how to use pronouns She and He, develop the reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. We’re also going to play a game and have fun!

3. Listening. Reading

Pre-Listening

T: Look at the screen! What letter is it?

Ss: Letter S.

T: What letter is it?

Ss: Letter H.

T:What sound do they give together?

Ss: Sound sh.

T: Well done! Let’s complete the word with the help of letter E. Who can read the word?

Ss: She.

Listening. Reading.

T: That’s right! So when we talk about a girl and a woman we use she. When we talk about a boy or a man we use he. Now watch and listen the video and sing a song “What do your parents do?” together!

T: Now go to the link that I sent you in our chat and work in pairs. Read the sentences and match them with pictures.

Students work in pairs and evaluate each other.

4. Speaking

T: Now I would like to know what do you parents do? So when we talk about a mother or a grandmother we use she. When we talk about a  father or grandfather what do we use?

Ss: He.

T: That’s great! What does you father/mother do?

            Ss: She/ He is a … /

            Each students answer the question.

            Post-Speaking

            T: Your parents have so important jobs for our country Ukraine. You should be proud   of them.    

5. Writing      

          Pre-Writing

T: Open your WB to page 35 ex.2. Read the jobs words.

Students read in turns.

Writing

T: Now have a look at ex.3. Our task is to write about your parents’ jobs.

Children complete the questions.

Post-Writing

Students read the sentences in turns.
