Тема уроку: Комп’ютер та його обладнання. Computer and it”s equipment

Цілі:

Практичні: навчитися використовувати програмні засоби для вивчення іноземної мови, зокрема електронні словники та перекладачі; ознайомити учнів з новими словами з теми «Computers» та здійснювати переклад текстів; формування активного словникового мінімуму з теми;

Освітні: сформувати  розвиток навичок роботи з комп’ютером та електронними словниками; формування вмінь застосовувати свої знання.

Розвиваючі:  розвиток пізнавального інтересу, уміння висловлювати власну думку, аналізувати; розвиток пам'яті, логічного мислення, навичок працювати в групах; тренування вміння виконувати нестандартні завдання.

Виховні: виховання в учнів інтересу та поваги до комп’ютерної науки, іноземної мови;  виховання потреби в практичному  застосуванні іноземної мови, використання інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій при вивченні іноземної мови; виховання здатності чітко організовувати самостійну і групову роботу.

Обладнання уроку:словники; ТЗН: мультимедійний проектор, набір слів та текстів для перекладу, словники.

ХІД УРОКУ

І. Організаційний момент  

Перевірка явки учнів, готовності до уроку, видача роздаткового матеріалу, оголошення теми та мети уроку.

 Good day dear children, and guests. Today we have the lesson which call “Computer and it”s equipment

” Today we discuss the problems of the Computer and it”s equipment.

ІІ. Актуалізація опорних знань  

1. Where do we search for the translation of unknown words? (dictionaries)

2. What types of dictionaries do you know? (spelling dictionary, translation dictionary, dictionary of foreign words, glossary)

3. Features of dictionaries for translating from english to ukrainian. (list of abbreviations, alphabet, ordering of words from A to Z, presence of transcription)

 ІІІ. Мотивація навчальної діяльності

At the lessons of a foreign language, when you read foreign-language printed materials, during the course of communication you fill up your vocabulary. But knowing the translation of all the words of another language is unrealistic. So, according to the American linguistic company The Global Language Monitor, in June 2009, the number of words in the English language reached 1 million and is updated daily by 15 new words

ІV. Подача нового матеріалу 

 When translating texts from the Ukrainian language into foreign languages, and vice versa, you are used to using dictionaries to find translations of individual unknown words. This troublesome work can be simplified if you use electronic dictionaries.

Сучасні електронні словники, як правило, надають користувачу такі можливості:

• - вибирати напрямок перекладу з набору мов, словники яких містяться в програмі;
• - вибирати професійну галузь для пошуку перекладу в спеціалізованому словнику;
• - знаходити переклади слів або словосполучень з однієї мови на іншу та їх транскрипції;
• - прослуховувати озвучування перекладів слів;
• - доповнювати словникову базу даних власними варіантами перекладів;
• - встановлювати додаткові словники та ін.
•  Electronic dictionaries can be installed on a user's computer, on a pocket PC, on a smartphone, on a mobile phone or on websites - on-line dictionaries. The translation of texts using electronic dictionaries does not differ from the execution of this task using the printed dictionary. Each word or phrase of the text, the translation of which must be defined using the electronic dictionary, must be translated separately. In order to work with the text and translate it we need to submit new words:

V. Практична робота.

Завдання 1. 

Учням пропонується здійснити переклад слів, що залишилися, самостійно. (практичне виконання перекладу на комп’ютері використовуючи он-лайн перекладач)

Завдання 2. 

Наступне завдання полягає у перекладі тексту.

Computers have had a great impact on society. Today computers are constantly becoming a part of everyday life. Computers are used in everything from the home PC or laptop to appliances such as microwaves and even our cars. Not only have computers had a great impact on our everyday life, but also on education and the workplace. Computers are used in our appliances, mobile phones, entertainment devices (such as DVD players) and others. The Internet has had a huge impact on society. It provides information and services, as well as the ability to communicate people all around the world in variety of ways. Around the world, the Internet is available to millions of people. Those who don’t have computer or access to the Internet at home will often have access at work or school, or even at the local library. Another added bonus of the Internet is that the majority of the information and services available are free.

   The use of computers for educational purposes has been highly beneficial for those involved. News, assignments, tests, lecture notes can be placed on the Internet for students who live in remote areas and cannot travel to and from university or other tertiary institution each day. Computers impact every part of our lives. From the home, to the work-place and in education, computers aid us to do what we want. In general, computers are beneficial to the tasks they are applied to. (додаток 2)

Текст необхідно скопіювати в он-лайн перекладач. Викладач зауважує, що текс одразу буде перекладений.

Ще однією, дуже важливою особливістю перекладача Google є можливість озвучування тексту, зокрема англійською мовою. Учням пропонується прослухати текст озвучений перекладачем.

Після прослуховування учні самостійно читають та використовуючи онлайн перекладач, перекладають текст.

Most people today cannot imagine their life without the Internet. I believe it is one of the most important innovations. Thanks to the worldwide web, our lives have become easier and more exciting.

First of all, the Internet helps us find information easily. For example, we can read the news and find answers to the questions 24 hours a day.

In addition, we can use the Internet for entertainment. We can send e-mail to friends and shop online. We can even listen to the latest music and watch live sporting events from other parts of the world.

However, some people argue that the Internet has a negative effect on society. Internet users become less sociable. They stay at home most of the day instead of going out to shop, work and meet friends.

In my opinion, the Internet has more advantages than disadvantages. Our lives are better with it and I hope it is here to stay.
