Theme: Music around us.
Aims: to develop speaking, reading and writing skills; to teach students to communicate in groups; to encourage creative thinking; to bring up aesthetic feelings with the help of music.
Objectives: to develop basic skills, to practise the students to use active vocabulary, to discuss sorts of music, to broaden students’ outlook.
Equipment: a laptop, cards, text for reading.
Procedure
І. Introduction
1. Greeting T: Good morning, boys and girls. Nice to see you. I hope you are in a good mood. I think it’s a good idea to inspire each other and say pleasant words to your friends. So make compliments.
T: I’m sure that after such words you’ll work much harder to prove it.
2.Motive
T: What do you do in your free time?
How often do you listen to music?
Do you play any musical instrument?
When did you start?
What types of music do you prefer?
3.Theme T: How do you think? What is the topic of our lesson?
Ps: The topic of our lesson is “ Music around us ”

Warming up.
T. I’d like to start our conversation unusually. I ask you to sit down comfortably on your seats, relax yourselves and only listen… ( There sounds the melody)
T: Isn’t it fantastic to listen to the wonderful sounds? I’m sure all of you have some emotions and feelings in your hearts after listening to this beautiful song. Please share your impressions.

Born to be wild
Ruslana Lyzhychko is a Ukrainian pop singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 with her Wild Dances. She is never at rest; she is always on the move, meeting people, while she moves from place to place. This energetic woman with a sunny smile welcomes people, makes new friends, and signs autographs, all at the same time. She is active in public life and politics. Ruslana was the Deputy of Ukraine.
Ruslana has become quite well-known in many countries. In Turkey they gave her the person of the Year Award which is usually given only to the Turks. In Germany, Sweden and Belgium there are many Ruslana’s fan clubs. She received many presents and invitations.
Ruslana is a very sociable person, but her music always be on the first place with its wild character and sound.
