  Тема. Sport in our life.

Мета: повторити й узагальнити лексичний матеріал теми;

           удосконалювати навички аудіювання та читання;

           формувати навички монологічного та діалогічного мовлення; 

           розширити знання учнів про відомих  спортсменів;

           виховувати позитивне ставлення до спорту.

Обладнання: підручник, картки для індивідуальної роботи, комп’ютер, екран.

 

ХІД УРОКУ

І. ОРГАНІЗАЦІЙНИЙ МОМЕНТ

1. Привітання

T. Hi, my dear friends. Im glad to see you. How are you? What day is it today?

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T. Today we continue speaking about sport. All over the world people of different ages are very fond of sports and games. Sport helps people to become strong and to develop physically. It helps us to stay in good health. We can choose sports and games for any season and for any taste.

ІІ. ОСНОВНА ЧАСТИНА УРОКУ

  1. Повторення вивченого матеріалу.  Про вживання дієслів go, play, do.(слайд 3)

At the last lesson we learnt how to use verbs go, play and do.  So the first task for both teams is to insert the right verb (use the correct tense) .

But there are some exceptions: do fencing    do weight lifting           do  kick boxing, boxing

Complete the sentences with the correct form of do, play or go. Use the present simple.

1. My brother ___________ karate.

2. We don`t______________running very often.

3. I _____________football after school.

4. My friends and I___________ice skating on Sunday.

5. My parents_________________tennis on Saturday mornings.

6. John ____________roller-skating  with his friends in his free time.

T.  The second task is for you to listen to the texts and guess the name of sport.

 

1. This game is over for two players or two pairs. They play it with a ball on a court.

2. This game is popular in Russia and Canada. Two teams play it on ice.

3. It is an old game. Two teams of eleven players play it. They kick a ball around.

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Two teams of five players play this game. They throw a ball into a basket.

SPORTS IN UKRAINE

    Different kinds of sport are popular in Ukraine nowadays. There are more sport clubs, swimming pools, running tracks and skating rinks. That’s why there are many talented sportsmen in our country. The Ukrainian school of gymnastics is famous all over the world. Irina Deriuhina, Oksana Skaldina, Oleksandra Tymoshenko have won World and European Championship. Serhii Bubka is known as the best world’s athlete. He was eight times world champion and Olympic champion in high jumping. Oksana Baiul, a figure skater, won the gold medal for our country in 1992 Olympic Games. World’s champions in boxing, brothers Klychko, are famous all over the world. Among the best swimmers at the Olympic Games was Yana Klochkova..
