Урок у 6 класі з теми «Travelling in our life».   

Мета:

  • сприяти вмінню учнів: використовувати ЛО в усній взаємодії; сприймати на слух; складати діалог за зразком; читати хором; ставити питання різних типів та давати відповідь; складати прислів’я; висловлювати свою думку щодо переваг та недоліків транспорту; обмінюватися думками щодо способу подорожування; розповідати про свою подорож.

Очікувані результати:

Тип уроку. Комбінований.

Методи, прийоми та форми роботи:

  • виразне читання, відгадування «the spider gram», гра “A microphone”, складання прислів’їв, складання діалогів за зразком,   розповідь, робота в групах, робота в парах.

Обладнання: мультимедійна презентація, роздатковий матеріал, відео-пісня «Оver the mountains», картки для індивідуальної та групової роботи, пісня для релаксації

Хід уроку

I. Введення в сферу іншомовної діяльності.

  1. Привітання, організаційний момент.

Teacher: Good morning, dear children! Glad to see you. How are you today?

Thank you very much.

  1. Мотивація навчальної діяльності та повідомлення теми та мети уроку. (слайд 1)

Teacher: We’ve just studied the theme “Travelling” and this lesson is devoted to this theme. During our lesson we’ll review our vocabulary, tenses, listen to the song, watch a presentation, make and act our dialogues.

  1. Фонетична зарядка. (слайд 2,3)

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Teacher: You know that nowadays people like to travel very much. Today we shall speak about different kinds of travelling. At first let’s check what kinds of transport do you know. What can you hear? (video Transport sounds). (слайд 4)

Teacher: Thank you for your good work, I have another task for you. Answer the questions:

Teacher: We know that lots of people are fond of travelling. Now, please answer my questions.

Why do people like to travel? (слайд 9)

Pupil 1: Travelling is one of the ways to learn about different countries, people’s culture, and interesting places.

Teacher: How can people travel?

Pupil 2: They can travel by car, by plane, by ship, by bus, on foot.

Teacher: Why do people prefer to make journey in a car?

Pupil3: They can stop when and there they want and enjoy nature.

Teacher: Why do some people like to travel by sea?

Pupil 4: I think there is nothing like travelling by sea. You can listen to the radio, swim in the swimming pool, and enjoy the wind and the sea.

Teacher: Why do people like to travel by plane?

Pupil 5: It’s the quickest means of transport and comfortable.

Teacher: Why do some people like to travel by train?

Pupil 6: Some people think that travelling by train is the most convenient and not very expensive.

Teacher: What do people do on the board of the plane?

Pupil 7: They read books, eat, listen to the music, watch films, sleep and read newspapers and magazines.

3. Усна взаємодія.Читання тексту. (слайд 11)

Teacher:  Work in two groups. Read one of the texts from a guidebook and take notes to answer the questions. Then share the information with another group.

Group A. London Buses

If you are on holiday in London: travel by bus. London buses are called double-deckers. They have a bus driver and some­times a conductor. Look at the sign on the front, on the side or on the back of the bus to know where the bus is going. Read the noticeboard at the bus stop to know the stops on the bus route.

When you get on the bus, show your bus pass to the driver or buy a ticket from him. Keep it till the end of your trip!

Group B. London Underground (Tube)

You can get to most places in London very quickly by underground (Tube). There are many lines on the London Underground. So it's better to get an underground map when you get into an underground sta­tion. All the lines are of different colours on the map. Buy a ticket from the ticket office at the underground station, or from a ticket machine. Keep the ticket till the end of your journey!
