Тема: Національні галереї Лондона.

Мета:ознайомити учнів з галереями Лондону засобами англійської мови, формувати вміння висловлювати іноземною мовою власні почуття, переживання і судження щодо творів мистецтва, порівнювати та оцінювати мистецькі твори та культурні традиції різних народів; ініціювати усну, писемну взаємодію іноземною мовою для розв’язання конкретної життєвої проблеми; розвивати мовні, інтелектуальні і пізнавальні здібності;  готовність брати участь в іншомовному спілкуванні; виховувати усвідомлення цінності культури для людини і суспільства, повагу до багатства і розмаїття культур, усвідомлення необхідності володіння іноземними мовами для підвищення власного добробуту.

1. Організація класу. Привітання.
2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

 All of us fond of arts. We really enjoy everything that is aesthetically beautiful. We like painting, sculpture, and architecture. Also we are fond of music, ballet, opera, and theatre. Masterpieces have always inspired people. And at today’s lesson we are going to speak about national galleries of London. Why we have to know about it? What does this knowledge gives us? Also we’ll check your grammar skills: third conditions.

THE TATE GALLERY

     There are many places of interest in London. They are Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Albert Hall (one of the biggest concert halls in London), Trafalgar Square and others.

     If you are fond of paintings you'll go to the Tate Gallery.

     The founder of this gallery was Henry Tate, a sugar manufacturer. He was a very rich man and collected paintings.

     This gallery was founded in 1897. Most of the National Gallery collections of British paintings were taken to the Tate Gallery.

     There are about 300 oils and 19,000 water colors and drawings.

     There are a lot of paintings by the 16th century English artists there. You can see many works by the English painter William Turner (1775-1851). Most of his paintings are connected with the sea theme.

     You can see many paintings by foreign artists of the 19-20th centuries in the Tate Gallery. There are some paintings by impressionists and postimpressionists there.

     One can see works by Peter Blake, Pablo Picasso and others in the Tate Gallery.

     There are many interesting sculptures there. The collection is rather big. Henry Moore's works can be seen in this gallery. He was a famous British, sculptor.

     The paintings of this gallery impress everyone who visits it.

- In the middle of your paper draw a road of our gallery, from up to down. On the left side draw four pictures like you want. On the right side draw five chairs. Between the second and the third chairs draw some sculpture any way that you want. On the top of your road draw a door. Between the first and the second picture draw a window, a big beautiful window. In the middle of your window draw a small sun. Nice work. Well done!
