Course of the lesson.
1. Greeting and organization.
Teacher: Good morning, class! Today I am your English teacher!
Pupils: Good morning, teacher!
Teacher: Today we have an unusual lesson. The theme of our lesson is “Traditions in Ukraine and in Great Britain”. I’m sure that you’ve already learnt a lot of information on this topic, but today I suggest you to have an extraordinary lesson.
2. Warm up.
Teacher: Today we shall appear in a travel agency! And each of you is to persuade, to give his/her reasons to visit his country with its sights.
Teacher: First of all let’s remind our clients what national British and Ukrainian holidays exist. Name them please.

Teacher: Yes, you are right! And the coming holiday is Easter! I suggest you to persuade our guests to visit your country during Easter holidays.

Pupil 1: Small eggs are hidden in an area, usually a garden or public place and then people try to find them.
Teacher: What is Egg Rolling competition?
Pupil 2: It is a competition where hard boiled eggs are rolled down a slide or a hill and the egg that travels the furthest without breaking apart wins.
Teacher: Excellent work class!

Teacher: At the beginning of the video Gina asked you a question: how do you think how many chocolate eggs are eaten in the UK at Easter?
Who has what suggestions? Let’s listen to the correct answer.
Teacher: Just imagine 80 million of eggs are eaten every year! Please, look at this sentence: 80 million of eggs are eaten every year! You see in this sentence that make some actions (eat) are made on the eggs. And if we say: People eat 83 million of eggs every year! Does it make any difference in meaning? And what about grammar?
Teacher: Sometimes we use active voice and sometimes passive. Look at the sentences:
Peter writes a post-card. – A post-card is written by Peter.
A postman brings letters. – Letters are brought by postman.
Teacher: Please look at the blackboard you can see a text there! It is based on our video! In the first part of the exercise I suggest you to fill inn the gaps with our active vocab.
