Тема: Подорож до Лондона. Визначні пам’ятки міста. Повторення правил вживання означеного артикля.

Цілі: тренувати вживання тематичних ЛО та ГС в усному та писемному мовленні за темою; удосконалювати навички читання, письма, аудіювання та  говоріння; розвивати мовні та мовленнєві навички за темою; розвивати комунікативні здібності учнів; прищеплювати інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови, усвідомлення її значимості в житті суспільства, розвивати здібності критичного мислення й незалежного висловлювання, сприяти взаємоузгодженню зовнішніх потреб та внутрішніх мотивів до саморозвитку та самореалізації учасників навчально-виховного процесу.

Завдання: створення реальних та уявних ситуацій спілкування на уроці, з використанням інноваційних методів та прийомів, залучення учнів до культурних цінностей народу – мова якого вивчається.

Очікуваний результат: засвоєння та удосконалення вживання тематичної лексики та граматичних структур, а також досягнення сформованості ключових та предметних компетентностей  на уроці.

Види діяльності на уроці: фронтальна та групова робота, робота з роздатковим  матеріалом, робота з опорою на наочність, взаємонавчання учнів, робота за зразком, інтерактивні вправи.

Тип уроку: урок формування мовленнєвих навичок користування мовним матеріалом та розвитку мовленнєвих умінь.

Обладнання: дошка, роздатковий матеріал, презентація, комп’ютер, проєктор.

І. Introduction. Greeting. (Вступ. Привітання)

T: Good morning dear pupils! How are you today? Are you ready for the lesson? Great! I’m very glad to greet you at our today’s lesson and I hope it will be interesting and useful for you.

 

II. Warm-up (Розминка)

T: Now tell me, please. Do you like traveling?

Have you ever been abroad?

And would you like to have an imaginary trip with me to a special pace?

 

Brainstorm activity (Мозковий штурм)

T: Let’s think about the thigs we need for a trip.

P1: Tickets.

P2: Money.

P3: Documents.

P4: Camera.

P5: Luggage/ Suitcase/ Rucksack.

T: Excellent! Thank you!

T: It’s winter now. What if we had a trip to the country with the mild winter. What clothes we need to take for the trip?

P1: A coat.

P2: A scarf and a hat.

P3: A jacket.

P4: ……

 

T: Thank you! And now we came up the topic of our lesson. We are going to have a trip to a very special place. It is one of the biggest cities in the world. It is also the capital of the United Kingdom and England. We are having an imaginary trip to London!

T: Slide2.On our lesson we will speak English, develop our information and communication competence, cultural competence, initiative and enterprise. We will try to develop your speaking, listening and reading skills. I hope you’ll get the useful knowledge and much fun.

 

III. Main part (Основна частина)

 

III/1. Interactive exercise. The choice of places to see. (Інтерактивна вправа. Вибір місць для відвідування)

 

T:  London has a great number of famous buildings and places of interest. I want you to have a look on these famous London sights. I will give you stickers as many as you need. Your task is to write down your name on them and paste/stick them on those sights you would like to visit today during the lesson.

I will be the first. Well I want to visit …. And get more interesting information about this place.

Now it’s your turn. Write your names and stick them telling us what places you want to visit today in our imaginary trip.

(Pupils follow the instruction and do the task).

III./2. Group building. Choosing the means of transport. (Об’єднання в групи)

 

T: We have chosen the paces to see. What means of transport are very popular among the tourists today? How can we get to London?

P1: We can go there by plane.

P2: We can go there by ship.

T: Thank you! So probably most of people will choose plane as the best option because it is fastest way of traveling.

It is the time to get your tickets. Take the tickets, please. Now those pupils who have green tickets sit here please and those who have pink tickets sit here, please.

So now we have two teams. And here is the first task.

 

III./3. Reading. Choose the true sentences to the picture. (Розвиток навичок читання)

T: You have got the ticket for the flight to London.

 You are going to read the text and choose the sentences which describe the means of transport depicted on the picture. The odd sentences you can cross out.  HO 3

Travelling by plane is the fastest. You can get to many cities only in a few hours. You can stop wherever you like. During the trip you can sit comfortably in the armchair and read, eat or sleep. During the trip you need no tickets. People can

visit many countries by plane. When the weather is rainy or foggy you cannot travel by it.
