Тема уроку: «Музична лабораторія»

Мета уроку:

•              навчальна: вдосконалення лексико – граматичних навиків (лексика з теми, вживання форм дієслова), усного мовлення (логічне висловлювання та реагування на мовленнєві вислови), навичок читання та аудіювання;
•              розвивальна: розвиток здібностей до порівняння, висновку, самостійності навчання учнів, довгострокової та оперативної пам’яті; сприяння розвиткові аналітичного, критичного та образного мислення через використання проблемних ситуацій та творчих завдань; розвиток уміння працювати в парі, групі;
• виховна: виховувати гарний смак у музиці (класичній та сучасній), поширювати кругозір, знання з музики та культури англомовних країн; формувати соціальну, соціокультурну, мовну та мовленнєву компетенції.

 

Задачі:

• сформувати естетичний смак учнів, правильне уявлення про можливості кожної дитини для розкриття власних здібностей та музичних уподобань;
• узагальнити та систематизувати знання учнів з теми.

ЛО для повторення: to compose, a skill, to download, relaxed, to perform, etc.

Oбладнання: мультимедійний пристрій, проектор, ноутбук, робочі зошити, роздавальний матеріал (із завданнями для роботи в групах), картки.

Тип уроку: комбінований (узагальнення та систематизація вивченого матеріалу з теми)

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

Greeting ( привітання)

Good morning, my dear friends! Today I am very glad to meet you all here in our Music Laboratory “Open Hearts”.  I know that you all are great musical experts and critics, that’s why I believe we are going to have serious and profound discussions or maybe even battles. So, are you ready to start?

First of all, let’s greet each other! Oh, before I forgot, there are guests here today at our meeting, so let’s greet them too.

Well, I am sure you all want to succeed today but first of all we want to get pleasure from today’s meeting, right?  But what do we need to get it? I think you’ll agree that good mood is the most important. Dear experts, what do you normally do to get a good mood?

M: make many friends

U: use your knowledge

S: speak English

I: invite guests and friends

C: come to the concerts and parties

All of these activities make you to be in a good mood. Can you guess the word made of the first letters of the following phrases? – MUSIC.

So, you understand we are going to talk about such fantastic art as Music. By the end of the lesson you will be able:

-to talk about different kinds of music and their representatives;

- to identify the main ideas and details from listening and reading;

- to take part in the conversation on the topic given.

 But what is music for you? I want each of you to use 3 words to describe this art: first adjective, then noun and finally verb. Let me be the first: classical, band, inspires.

Specialists say that music isn’t only a combination of pleasant sounds. It is an art which reflects our life.

Reading (Читання)

Well, guys, at the very beginning of the lesson you heard some classical music playing. Can you remember any famous classical composers? Do you like to listen to such kind of music? What feelings do you have while listening to it?

Pre-reading (Етап підготовки до читання)

Listen to 3 pieces of music by Mozart and say how does each one make you feel? Let the expert say something first. Use the adjectives from the box and your own words:

awake, calm, happy, relaxed, sad, sleepy, excited, thoughtful, annoyed, tensed, etc

1. Read the text quickly and match the heading (a-c) with the paragraph (1-3)

Well and now we’ve come to the final stage of our working in Music Laboratory. It is Speaking point. I’d like to divide you into 3 groups and give different tasks to each of the groups. The first group will present the situation ( you will choose the card and read the instructions). The second group will work with music idioms. The task for you is to match the idioms with their definitions and then make up sentences with them. And the third group will listen to the soundtracks from films or cartoons and the task is to match the soundtrack with the film where we can hear that song or melody. So, I think you all understand your tasks. Let’s start.

Group # 1 (Role Play. The situation: A famous rock group is coming to your city with a fantastic concert and you were lucky to get the tickets. Though one of your friends who really likes the band is busy. You should convince him to go to the concert.)

Group # 2 (Match the music idioms with their definitions and give sentences using them)

Group # 3 (Match the soundtracks with the films/cartoons they were taken from)
