Урок уведення нової лексики "Зима в Англії"

Тема уроку: Зима в Англії.

Мета уроку: - навчальна: автоматизувати вміння і навички учнів з теми 

« Пори року. Погода» з опорою на вивчені лексичні одиниці; активізувати вживання вивчених граматичних структур;

• Розвивальна: -розвивати пізнавальну активність учнів; розвивати різні види пам’яті (слухову і зорову, оперативну та тривалу); розвивати швидку мовленнєву реакцію; розвивати навички сприймання на слух,  читання, письма, говоріння, розвивати в учнів уміння спілкуватися про погоду;
• Виховна: виховувати естетичні смаки, працелюбність в оволодінні знань з англійської мови, формувати позитивне ставлення до процесу навчання та отримання знань.

Обладнання: підручник, робочий зошит, мультимедійна презентація,  картки із зображенням зими, роздатковий матеріал, аудіозапис тексту.

Тип уроку: комбінований.

І. Організаційний момент.

   1. Привітання. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку (1 хв.)

   2. Перевірка домашнього завдання ( 3 хв.)

   3. Мовленнєва розминка (уведення в іншомовне середовище) ( 3 хв.)

ІІ. Основна частина.

1. Уведення нового лексичного матеріалу ( 5 хв.)
2. Сприймання на слух (20 хв.)
3. Читання ( 11 хв.)

ІІІ. Заключна частина уроку.

1. Повідомлення домашнього завдання (1 хв.)

І. Організаційний момент.

  1. Привітання.

-Good morning, children! I am glad to see you!

- Good morning, teacher! We are glad to see you too!

-stand in a 2 circles. Ask how your classmate is.

Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

-Today we are going to revise  about seasons and weather , to learn about winter in England and to listen to the text about it. Are you ready? Let’s start our lesson! (слайди 1, 2)

 

2. Перевірка домашнього завдання.

- Your hometask was to prepare some questions about the weather in different cities. Now imagine that you are a reporter and you have to interview your classmates.

3. Мовленнєва розминка. Уведення в іншомовне середовище.

- Do you like winter? Why? (слайд 3)

- Some pupils do the task with the cards: to write the holidays. The rest of the schoolchildren read 5 reasons to love winter. (слайди 4-8)

1. As soon as that gentle chill in the air turns into biting cold you know winter has officially arrived! However, the cold weather is a perfect excuse to switch to a winter wardrobe. Personally, I love wrapping up in thick scarves, woolly hats and knitted socks. Plus, a large number of patterned, 'ugly' jumpers appear in the shops ... there is nothing better than a big, cosy jumper!

2. One of the worst things about winter is how it gets cold and dark really early. However, this is the best time to stay indoors where it is warm and cosy. You can relax with a great book or entertaining film, knowing that the frosty weather is safely on the opposite side of the window!

3. Winter food is the best kind of food! Staying inside on a chilly evening calls for hot chocolate and cream, warm apple juice or copious mugs of tea. Mince pies and other seasonal treats appear in the supermarkets, just begging to be served warm with cream. Winter vegetables can be roasted or turned into steaming bowls of healthy soup and winter fruits can be baked into yummy pies. Plus, if the cold weather is forcing you to spend the day indoors, there is plenty of time to bake a fruit cake, assemble a gingerbread house or experiment with the abundance of seasonal recipes that pop up across the internet.

4. It can be not very nice how early in the evenings it becomes dark. However, it is perfect for viewing fireworks. November 5th is Bonfire Night in the UK, meaning all across the country you will see vibrant lights decorating the sky. Also, Christmas lights get switched on in town centres, often with a switching-on ceremony. This is when everyone gathers in the street, often with music, games and food vendors, to witness the lights being turned on, sometimes by a celebrity. The country becomes illuminated with colourful lights, cheering up the dark, winter nights.

5. This is perhaps a pretty obvious one but once winter has arrived you know that Christmas is on its way, bringing with it a collection of delicious food, vibrant decorations, heart-warming films and television specials, festive events and activities, jolly music and time spent with love ones.

 

II. Основна частина уроку.

1. Уведення нового лексичного матеріалу. (слайди 10-17)

• We know many words about weather and seasons. Today we are going to learn some others to describe winter.
• Look at the blackboard, repeat after me and try to guess the meaning.
• Now to learn the words perfectly some of you will do the task on the cards (to match the word and its translation) and others will make up micro dialogues with them.

2. Сприймання на слух.

1. Pre-Listening Activity:  Слайд 18 To understand the text you have to know some important words. Look at the blackboard and try to understand the words.
2. While-Listening Activity: while listening find the answers to these questions

• Why is the weather different in various places?
• What are people in England  doing?
• What is the weather like in Argentina today?
• In which country are people swimming today?
• What is the weather like in Canada today?

3. Post-Listening Activity: let’s answer the questions. (слабші – переклад слів на дошці)

 

 

 

3. Читання.

1. Pre-Reading Activity:  Слайд 19  What is the weather like in winter in Ukraine? Say synonyms to the word winter.
2. While-Reading Activity.
3. Post - Reading Activity:  let’s play a role game. One of you is a new pupil from England. You will ask him about winter in his country.  Слайд 20
