Цілі: - вдосконалювати комунікативні навички учнів; - розширити словниковий запас учнів з теми «Обчислювальна техніка» - заохочувати групову та парну роботу; - стимулювати творче мислення та уяву учнів; - виховувати культуру спілкування, доброзичливе і толерантне ставлення один до одного, вміння доводити свою точку зору; - опрацювати граматичний матеріал та виконати граматичні вправи.

Урок у 8-А класі на тему: 

“ Використання інноваційних технологій. Компьютери та аксесуари.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Obectives:

-to improve students’ communicative skills;

-to expand students’ vocabulary on the topic “Computing”

- to encourage group and pair work;

- to stimulate students’ creative thinking and imagination;

- to bring up the culture of communication, friendly and tolerant attitude to each other, the ability to prove one’s point of view;

-  to work out  the grammar material and do the grammar exercises

Equipment: multimedia presentation, audio and video materials, handouts.

Procedure

  1. Introduction

T. Good afternoon , everybody! Today we are going to speak on the very vital and important topic “Computers in Our Life. Computer is one of the most important inventions of all times and it has changed our life for the better. So there are quite a lot of advantages of using it. During the lesson we will discuss it. We will practice the words and word- combinations connected with computers, we will talk about using the question tags and do the exercises. By the end of the lesson you will be able to understand and use new words and develop your ability of speaking on the subject.

II. Warming-Up

T. Now watch a short video “Communication Technology” and answer the following questions:

1. What is ICT or Information communications technology? Ps: It’s the infrastructure and components that enable modern computing. Ps: ICT refers to technologies that provide access to information through telecommunications.

2. Do you have a computer at school or at home?

3.Where do you use a computer?

4. When did you first start using a computer?

5. How often do you use a computer?

6. Do you use your computer when you do homework for school?

7. Have you ever studied English using your computer? 8. How important do you think computers are in our lives?  Ps: We need them for the most of the daily things we do-today’s world couldn’t go on without them.

Game “Group Survey “Computer Fans”

T. Now you are going to make a group survey : you’ll do a test in groups and find out how much you depend on a computer ,report back to the class and compare your results with other groups.

“Are You a Computer Fan?”

How much do you depend on a computer? Answer the questions of the text and tell about the results.

Read the questions and write near them:

A for Always

O for Often

S for Sometimes

R for Rarely

N for Never

________ I use all the keys on the keyboard.

________ I use different types of software.

________ I watch movies and videos.

________ I write my own programs.

Count the number of:

A’s______________

O’s______________

S’s______________

R’s______________

N’s______________

If you have more R’s and N’s than A’s and O’s , it means you are OK.

If you have more A’s and O’s than R’s and N’s, it means you suffer from computer addiction.

 

  1. Main Part of the Lesson
  1. Vocabulary computer components.

T: Now Children, look and repeat the words together. Label the computer parts and accessories. (ex. 1a p . 90)

  1.  Text Completion. (ex. 1b p . 90)

T: Now use the words to complete the text. Check Ss answers.

  1. New vocabulary. Predicting the content of the text.

T: Now listen and repeat the phrases. ( ex3a. p 90)

T: The sentences are related to the dialogue and the picture . What do you think the problem is? Listen and read to find out. ( ex3b. p 90)

  1. Using interjections.

T:  Now look at study skills box.

T: Now read the dialogue and find the examples in it by scanning the text quickly. (ex 4a p.90)

T: Now read the dialogue again and write the correct word from the dialogue.

T: Now read out the dialogue in pairs.
