Тема: Лондон

Цілі уроку:

• Повторення, узагальнення та систематизація навчального матеріалу країнознавчого характеру про Лондон (активізація наявних учнів знань, отриманих на уроках англійської мови).

• Стимулювання та мотивація інтересу учнів до вивчення англійської мови та культури Великобританії.

• Формування комунікативної компетентності в учнів.

Завдання уроку:

Практичні

• Розширювати знання учнів про Лондон на основі лексико-граматичного та країнознавчого характеру.

• Вправляти учнів у вмінні ставити запитання та відповідати на них (діалогічне мовлення) у письмовій та усній формі. Вправляти дітей у вмінні побудувати пропозицію (закінчити її).

• Тренувати учнів у застосуванні лексики на тему як монологічної промови.

• Активізувати застосування навчальних умінь та навичок у нестандартних умовах (відеоурок та урок-подорож).

• Вправляти дітей у розумінні носіїв мови, що звучить у відеофільмі.

Розвиваючі

• Встановлювати міжпредметний зв'язок англійської мови, музики та образотворчого мистецтва.

• Розвивати творчу фантазію, пам'ять, уважність, пізнавальний інтерес та ініціативу у здійсненні мовної діяльності.

Виховні

• Виховувати у учнів прагнення вивчення англійської мови.

• Виховувати повагу до культури та традицій інших народів.

Вчитель вітає учнів та оголошує тему уроку.

Hello! Today we’ll have an unusual lesson. I want to tell you about my friend. She lives in London. She’s got a very interesting profession. I want you to guess what it is. She meets a lot of people of different nationalities from different countries.

She travels by bus around London every day. She tells people a lot of interesting facts about London. What is her job?

We are in England. London is the capital of England. The symbol of England is a Rose. London has got a lot of beautiful buildings. Слайд №4

Who can describe this clock tower?

You can see this clock tower. Inside the tower there is a heavy metal bell. Its name is Big Ben. Слайд №5

What do you know about the Tower?

This is The Tower. There are 7 ravens here. If they leave The Tower it is a very bad luck. These men are Beefeaters. They take care of the ravens.

Can you see this wonderful building? Who tells about it?

And this is Buckingham Palace where the Queen and her family live. If the flag is on the top – the Queen is at home. . Buckingham Palace is like a small town, with a police station, a hospital, a bar, a cinema and a swimming pool. Слайд №9

Who can tell us about The London Eye?

This is The London Eye. River boats go past the London Eye . People ride on this enormous wheel. It is situated on the River Thames. Слайд №10

Who would like to tell about The Monument?

This is The Monument. You can see this tower. It tells people about the Great Fire in 1666. It is 61 metres high. It is 61 metres from the start of the fire. The fire starts in a baker’s shop. Слайд №11

What do you know about parks of London?

Parks of London. Londoners like their parks and proud of them. The parks are full of trees, grass, flowers and water. The largest parks of London are Hyde Park and Regent's Park. There is Green Park and St. James's Park. Слайд №12

Учні розглядають картинки завдання №16, дивляться відеофільм, розставляють в правильному порядку, потім порівнюють зі своїм партнером. Після цього перевіряють разом із учителем. Далі під картинками учні пишуть назви визначних пам'яток Лондона.
