ТЕМА:  “WELCOME TO BIRTHDAY PARTY”

 

Цілі уроку:

 

• Повторити та узагальнити мовний та мовленнєвий матеріал розділу “Let us play!” та дати  учням можливість відпочити за допомогою пісень,  віршів, діалогів, сценок, ігор, кросвордів, фізичних вправ та відеофільму.

 

• Здійснити м”який контроль рівня знань та вмінь учнів по зазначеній темі, давши їм можливість побачити чого вони досягли, вивчаючи її.

 

• Сприяти розвитку їх мовних та комунікативних компетенцій, уваги, пам’яті, мислення.

 

• Підтримувати інтерес до навчального предмета, мотивувати подальше вивчення англійської мови.

 

Обладнання: тематичні малюнки та картки з ЛО, вірші “It’s birthday time”, “Hurry! Hurry!”, “Let us sing”, діалоги #1-6, пальчикова гра “Where is pointer?”, пісня “Toys for me”, магнітофон, касета, ноутбук, відеофільм “Birthday Party”

1. The song “Toys for me…”

T.: To create a high spirit, the spirit of a Birthday Party, let us start with a song.

а) Аудіювання пісні

T.: Open your books on the song “Toys for me…”. Listen and read the song.

б) Виконання пісні

T.: Sing the song all together.

 

      2. The Birthday rhymes

T.: Let us continue with Birthday rhymes.

 

It’s birthday time! It’s birthday time!

Time for games and time for toys,

Time for happy girls and boys!

Time for cake and presents too!

Time for laugh and say “Thank you!”

T.:  Now we’ll invite those, whose name-day is in March, and play a rhyme game with them.

4. Presenting of “A Birthday Memory Book”.

 

T.: You all are stars today. Take our congratulations and presents. We congratulate you with “A Birthday Memery Book» which we have prepared for you.

(Each child has created own memory page for the birthday kids with decorations, drawings, pictures, or whatever he or she wants. They are all gathered together in “A Birthday Memory Book” and are presented to the birthday kids).

 

5. Games and dialogues

T.: There is no party without small-talks and games. We’ll also have them.

 

1. The game “Choose birthday pictures”

T.: Choose birthday pictures, name them and put them on the black-board.

 

       b) The Matching game

T.: You can see the “birthday” pictures on the blackboard. Read the following cards with words on them and match them with pictures.

 

Words: a birthday party, a cake, a present, candles, flowers, a congratulation card, a ball, a doll, a car, a teddy-bear, a balloon, a bell, etc.

 

     c) The game “What a…!”

T.: Have a look at these pictures again and admire them. Start with “Wow! What a…!”

E.g.:

What a | lovely…!                                                                                                                                                | nice…!                                     | pretty…!                                     | big…!

What a lovely birthday party! What a nice present! What a big cake! What a nice card! What big candles! What nice flowers!, etc.

 

      d) The Finger play “Where is thumbkin?”

 

T.: Now let’s have a break and do some exercises for fingers and eyes.

 

e) Birthday Dialogues

T.: Let’s continue our birthday party. Now make birthday dialogues.

P2: Thank you. What is in the box?

P1: Open and see!

P2: Wow! What a nice teddy-bear! I like it!

P1: Oh, Mike! You are happy today!

P1:  How old are you?

P2:  I am eight.

P1:  Sasha is happy today. It is his birthday today.

P2:  How old is he?

P1:  He is eight.
