             Procedure

1.Greeting

   Glad to see you. How are you?

   Look at the blackboard. There are a lot of pictures on it. What do they show? Can you say what the topic of our lesson is? ( Pupils answer )

So we are going to talk about school, school subjects and reasons of going to school.

 

2.Brainstorming

Look at the blackboard and give your ideas on the topic of our lesson.

Why go to school? Pupils answer ( to get knowledge, prepare for life, have fun, communicate with friends, get a certificate etc).

 

3.Listening

   Pre- listening

    Do you like music and songs? Pupils answer.

    Now we are going to listen to the song. Listen attentively and try to catch the key     

    phrase from it After listening you must also name the school subjects you’ve heard.

    

   Post- listening

   Answer the questions:

   What is the key phrase of the song? Pupils answer.(School is cool)

    Do you agree that school is cool? Why is it cool?

    What school subjects were mentioned in the song? Pupils answer.

 

    Guessing game. Guess the subjects

 

     1.This science studies forces or qualities such as heat, light, sound pressure, gravity and electricity and the way they effect objects.( physics)

      2.Sports and games.( PE)

       3.Activities such as embroidery, knitting, pottery, carving etc. which involve making things with your own hands.( craft)

         5.This subject deals with the past.(history)

          6.The science which is concerned with the study of living beings.(biology)

          7.Classes where students get knowledge how to lead a healthy life.(safety rules)
