Activities: group and individual work, pair work.
PROCEDURE
I. INTRODUCTION
T: Good afternoon! I am really very happy to see you again and I hope you’ll be able to solve all my tasks for you today. The theme of our lesson is “Jobs and professions”. Today we are going to practice speaking skills, listening skills, also you’ll learn the new words.
II. WARMING UP
T: -Tell me, please about your parents. Who is your mother/father?
-What other professions do you know?
- There are many professions in the world, and today we’ll speak about some of them.
III. MAIN PART OF THE LESSON
Vocabulary practice
T: Open you books at p.34 and look at ex.1. Let’s read the professions and label pictures.
Game "Guess the job"
T: Ok. Let’s continue. You’ll listening to the definition of professions, and your task will be guess and name them.
-But first here are some professions: (on the smart board)
Now I’ll describe you a profession and you will be very attentive. You may use the sheets of paper with words.
T: Ok. Right. Now, let’s do the similar task from ex.2. Look and read the task.
T: Now, look at the smart board. You’ll see the sentences with a missing word. You need to choose one letter a), b), or c) to the meaning of the sentence and write it into your copy book. For example: 1a, 2 b and so on. You have 3 minutes.
