For example“ We have come” they said to their mother. - They told their mother that they had come.“ I am returning tomorrow” she said to her brother. - She told her brother that she was returning the next day. “ The weather has changed’” Tom said to Mike. - Tom told Mike that the weather had changed a lot.

ORDERED ( наказав) when we report commandssuch sentences are called imperative. They don’t have a subject ( підмет) they can be positive and negativeit usually has an exclamation mark (!)

For example“ Be quick!” she said to her pupils. - She ordered her pupils to be quick.“Put your gun down!” the policeman said to the robber. - The policeman ordered the robber to put the gun down.“ Don’ t cheat!” the teacher said to his pupils. - The teacher ordered his pupils not to cheat. “ Don’t shout! - the manager told the delivery boy. - The manager ordered the delivery boy not to shout.

Begged ( благав, благала) we use it to report requestsit can have both positive ( when we beg someone to do something) and negative ( when we beg someone not to do something) meaning. It always contains words “ please, please”

For example “ Please,please, don’t leave me” she said to the stranger. - She begged the stranger not to leave her.“Please, please, help me finish my project!” the girl said to her classmate. - The girl begged her classamte to help her to finish her project. “ Please, please, leave me alone!” he said to her. - He begged her to leave him alone.

ASKED we use it when we report all types of questionswe use it only with a personal object ( e.g. asked me, asked them, asked us) we use it to report the command if it contains the word “ please”

For example“Where can I take the bus?” the stranger said. - The stranger asked me where he could take the bus.“ Did they win the match?” the man asked his friend. - The man asked his frien if / whether they had won the match.“Please, bring me some lemonade,” Granny said to her granddaughter. - Granny asked her granddaughter to bring her some lemonade.
