Тема. Sport in our life.

Мета: повторити і закріпити лексичний матеріал теми;

тренувати учнів у вживанні питальних слів;

продовжувати удосконалювати техніку читання;

продовжувати розвивати вміння монологічного мовлення;

продовжувати практикувати у писемному мовленні;

виховувати прагнення до здорового способу життя.

Обладнання: малюнки, опорні схеми, картки, підручник, інтерактивна     дошка.

Форма проведення: урок з використанням інтерактивних технологій.

Тип уроку: урок закріплення та систематизації знань, умінь та навичок.

 

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

  • Greeting

T: Good morning, student.

Ss: Good morning, teacher.

T: Nice to see you.

Ss: Nice to see you too, teacher.

T: How are you today?

Ss: We are fine, thank you.    

Tongue twister

T: Let’s prepare your tongues for English speech and read this tongue twister. (Slowly, faster and faster; when some words are taken out). Can you translate the twister into Ukrainian?

Six slim swimmers are swimming swiftly southwards.

 

 

 

 

  • Aim

T: Look at the screen,  arrange the letters in the right order and you’ll get the topic of our lesson “ ROPST”.

What is it! You are quite right. It is Sport.

T: Today, we are going to  speak about sports and games in our life You’ll also practice your spoken English, reading and writing skills.

  • Warming up

T: Answer the questions.

  1. What sports do you know? Look at the screen and name them, please.
  2. What sports do you like?
  3. What sports are you good at?

Make up words from the letters. Write down them on the blackboard.

It is Sunday.  Alec is going to the stadium.  Today his school team will take part in the competitions.  There  will  be  competitions  in  volleyball  and  football,  running  and  jumping.

Alec plays football very well.  He is a member of the school football team.  Last year their team won the first place.  They became champions and got prize.  So this year they will    try to play well too. 

The girl’s team was not very good at volleyball.  It took only the fourth place.  But this year the girls are training very hard.  They want to get the first place.

Many schoolchildren are going to the stadium.  They will see the competitions.
