Aims:

1. To develop students' creativity, leadership, communication and collaboration.

2.To form the feeling of respect to the customs and traditions of English- speaking countries, to bring up feeling of love, kindness and care to their families, friends and all special people in their lives.

 

Here’s a special valentine

With lots of love for you.

And since you’re very special

Here are hugs and kisses, too!

 

                            It has been said that we need just three things in life:

               

                                                Something to do,

                                                Something to look forward too

                                                And someone to love.

Ведущий Т : Hello, friends! I'm happy to welcome you at our Valentine's Day

 party .

 

So, what kind of holiday is St. Valentine'? - In all English- speaking countries the 14th of February is a special day of love. It’s the day when people tell each other nice things, they give small presents, Valentine cards and flowers to their special people, and they speak and sing about love.

It is one of the early symbols of love - Cupid, the Roman God of love, who is represented as a young boy with a bow and arrow.

There are some other symbols of Valentine’s Day: Hearts, Love birds and Doves,  Rings , Red Rose.

GOD 1: Have you met those  strong people? They could do everything and they are very happy. Ты встречала этих сильных людей? Они могут сделать все, и они очень счастливы.

 

 

GOD 2: Oh, yes! They are strong and wise. You see even stronger, wiser and happier then we are. О да! Они сильны и мудры. Они даже сильнее, мудрее и счастливее нас.

 

 

GOD 1: We should do something with it. Nobody can be stronger, wiser and happier then we are.  Мы должны что-то сделать с этим. Никто не может быть сильнее, мудрее и счастливее, нас.

 

GOD 2:  What can we do?  А что мы можем сделать?

 

GOD 1: Let's think. We are clever and inventive. We'll find the way out. We must win them.  Perhaps....    Oh, I've got an idea. What about dividing each person into two parts? Давай подумаем. Мы умны и изобретательны. Мы найдем выход. Мы должны победить их. Возможно .... О, у меня есть идея. А если мы разделим каждого человека на две части?

 

 

GOD 2: And mix these parts on the Earth. They become lonely and weaker. To be happy again, they should try to find the lost half. Ha-ha-ha!!!

 И разбросаем эти половинки  по Земле. Они станут одинокими и слабыми. Чтобы снова стать счастливыми, они должны будут попытаться найти свою  потерянную половину. Ха-ха-ха !!!

 

GOD 1: But if they do it?  Но если они это сделают?

 

GOD 2: Let's praise them. Those who find each other, fall in love and will become as strong as we are. Давай наградим их. Они найдут друг друга, влюбятся и станут такими же сильными, как и мы.

 

Ведущий T: A nice legend, isn't it? Love really makes wonders. Great love makes people better and kinder. And the world around them becomes lighter, brighter and kinder.

Narrator: Once upon a time there was very strong Roman king Claudius. He was very brave and had very strong army. He was very respectable man, but young people didn't like him. Let's see why.

King Claudius: Me, Claudius, the king of Rome, with this order I prohibit to marry young people until they are 30. I need more brave and obedient soldiers for my army!!! If someone breaks this order, he will be punished.

Narrator: But there was a very extraordinary priest. He was very kind and wise and he liked to help people, especially when they were in love. His name was Valentine.
Но был очень необычный священник. Он был очень добрым и мудрым, и ему нравилось помогать людям, особенно когда они были влюблены. Его звали Валентин.

 

Valentine: God bless you, my dear. I am a priest. My name is Valentine. I help young people who are in love. If Claudius catches me, he will punish me, but I am not afraid! He can't kill our love!

BOY: But our priest is afraid of Claudius and he doesn't want to get us married in church. Но наш священник боится Клавдия и не хочет, чтобы мы поженились в церкви.

 

Valentine: My daughter, my son! I'll help you. In the name of God I pronounce

you husband and wife. You are married now. Live long and be happy.
Дети мои! Я помогу вам. Перед лицом Господа Вы теперь вы муж и жена. Вы женаты сейчас. Живите долго и будьте счастливы.

King Claudius: Where is the priest, who doesn't obey me?! Me, Claudius! Oh, here you are! I will punish you. I send you to the prison forever!!! And nobody will hear your name again! Где тот священник, который не слушается меня ?! Меня, Клавдия! О, вот ты где! Я накажу тебя. Я отправляю тебя в тюрьму навсегда !!! И никто никогда не о тебе не услышит!

 

Valentine: I'm not afraid! I want to tell everybody on the Earth: "I love you! I'm your Valentine!"
Я не боюсь! Я хочу сказать всем на Земле: «Я люблю вас! Я ваш Валентин!»

 

GIRL: Oh, the priest is very brave and honest man. He helped so many people and now he is in prison and nobody can help him.
О, священник очень смелый и честный человек. Он помог многим людям, и теперь он в тюрьме, и никто не может ему помочь.

 

BOY: I know what to do. Today is the 14th of February. Let's celebrate this day as the day of this priest. Я знаю что делать. Сегодня 14 февраля. Давайте праздновать этот день как день этого священника.

 

GIRL: Very good idea! All people will remember that valentine is the priest of love.
Очень хорошая идея! Все люди будут помнить, что Валентин - священник любви.

 

Narrator: And so, through centuries this holiday came to us.  We celebrate this special day by sending cards to the people whom we love. We send Valentine cards to everyone we love and respect.

ВедущийT : Now I think everybody understands why this day is celebrated  in many countries of the world. It’s a good time to show your love.

Love to your mother, granny, to your sister or brother, to your relatives and friends.

And Valentine cards help you to express your love. Let's listen to some Valentines.

Ведущий T:  Now, dear boys and girls, let's play. Ребята делятся на 2 команды, в мешочке лежат сердечки, кому достаются голубые идут в первую команду, розовые- во вторую.

We are divided into 2 teams. Choose your heart. you can read your fortune teller at the back of this heart. So, ready? do you like your fortune?

Now, 2 teams: «Romeo» is the name on the team with blue hearts.   «Juliet» is the name of the team with pink hearts. Now we’ll see which team knows more about the holiday.

На экране зашифрованы слова команды должны отгадать что это за слова. На выполнение задания даётся 1 минута. За каждое правильно составленное слово команда получает 1 балл, команда, которая справилась первая ещё + 1 балл за скорость.

КОНКУРС 5 " PROVERBS" (резерв)

Найти русские эквиваленты к английским пословицам. За правильно подобранную пословицу команда получает 2 балла.
