Тип заходу: позакласний захід (англійська мова)

Мета: узагальнити та розширити знання учнів про Велику Британію;

           прищеплювати любов до вивчення англійської мови;

           активізувати навички та вміння усного мовлення на основі вивченого матеріалу;

           сприяти розширенню кругозору учнів;

           виховувати та підтримувати у школярів мотивацію до оволодіння іноземною мовою, вміння

           співпрацювати в команді.

Обладнання: мультимедійна презентація, ноутбук, матеріали для презентації, роздатковий матеріал

                                                                                  ХІД ЗАХОДУ

І. Організаційний. Повідомлення теми та мети заходу, основних правил.

T: Good afternoon, dear friends! Glad to greet you in this classroom. I know that all of you are very hardworking, smart and clever pupils, who are fond of English. Today we’re having an interesting quiz “How to be a millionaire”and we’ll see the best pupils in English. We are going to discuss the interesting facts about Great Britain, its people, culture and traditions.

I want you to split into 2 teams. Each group needs to choose a captain. I will give you 2 minutes to think over the name of your team. We make three rounds for teams.

II. Гра " Як стати мільйонером".

Кожен капітан по черзі представляє свою команду і оголошує назву команди.

T: I’m going to explain the rules of our game.

1) I have a bag in which there are barrels with numbers. The captain should get the barrel out of the bag and announce its number. It will be the number of the question. Every question costs 1 pound. If you see the words “Happy chance” on the screen, you’ll have 1 pound without any question. You’ll have only 1 minute to think over your answer. If you haven’t any answer, your rival will have opportunity to answer the question.

2) We have one more activity.

Each team will receive 1 letter of the English alphabet. Your task is to present this letter so that the other team can guess it. You can use your body, arms and legs, but no sounds. One letter costs 1 pound.

3) Each team will receive an envelope with a picture. But it was cut into pieces. Your task is to put together a jig-saw and glue the parts of the picture and name the place in London that you see in this picture. You’ll have 2 pounds: 1 for the picture and 1 for the name of the place.

III. Завершальний етап. Підведення підсумків.

Let’s count the pounds of each team.
