Some live with farmers — they are Farm animals. And some live in forests or jungles — they are Wild animals. Look at this picture. What animal is this? Is it a pet, a farm animal, or a wild animal?"
- Possible Answers:
- Teacher: "Look at this lion!" -- Students: "It's wild!"
- Teacher: "What about this cat?" -- Students: "It's a pet!"

3 & 4. Creative Workshop: Coloring & Writing Descriptions
Location: Classroom
Equipment: Printed coloring pages of different animals, crayons/markers, pens.
- Procedure:
Every child chooses or gets a picture of one animal to color. After coloring, they write a short, 5-sentence description using a provided template.
- Example Template (On the board):
This is a [animal].
It is [color].
It is [big / not big / small].
It eats [grass / meat / seeds].
It lives [on a farm / in the wild / at home].
We use its [fur / milk / eggs] (or "It is a good friend" for pets).
- Teacher's Words:
- "Now it's time to create your own animal! Pick one picture and color it beautifully. When you finish, write a short story about it. Look at the board, here is an example about a sheep."
- Example Text (Sheep):
- "This is a sheep. It is white. It is not big. It eats grass. It lives on a farm. We use its fur."
5. Mini-Presentation: Sorting the Animals
Location: Classroom (Walls/Board divided into 3 zones: FARM / WILD / PET)
- Procedure:
Children take turns coming to the front, reading their descriptions, and sticking their animal into the correct zone on the wall or board.
- Teacher's Words:
- "Who wants to be the first to show their animal? Come to the board, read your text, and decide where it lives: Farm, Wild, or Pet zone!"
- Possible Answers:
- Student: "This is a tiger. It is orange and black. It is big. It eats meat. It lives in the wild... So, it goes to the WILD zone!" (Sticks picture under 'Wild')
...
6. Song Time: "Old MacDonald had a farm" (Interactive)
Location: Classroom
Equipment: Audio track of the song, small slips of paper with farm animal names.
- Procedure:
1. Hand out secret slips of paper to students (e.g., Duck, Cow, Pig, Sheep, Dog, Horse).
2. Play the song. The teacher trains the children on what sounds each animal makes.
3. Play the song again. When the song mentions a specific animal, the children holding that slip of paper must make that animal's sound in time with the music.
|
Animal |
Sound (ENG) |
|
Duck Cow Pig Sheep Dog Horse |
Quack-quack Moo-moo Oink-oink Baa-baa Woof-woof Neigh-neigh
|
- Teacher's Words:
- "Let's sing! I will give each of you a secret animal. Don't show it! Let's practice the sounds first. How does a duck go in English? Quack-quack! Good. Now, listen to the song. If you have a 'Duck' paper, you must quack when you hear it in the song!"
7 & 8. Team Game: "The Telegram"
Location: Corridor
Equipment: 4 pieces of paper and 4 pens (placed on the windowsill), 4 lists of words for the leaders.
- Procedure:
1. Divide the class into 4 teams of 6 children.
2. Line them up like a train ("паровозиком"). The first child faces the teacher. The last child faces the windowsill with the paper and pen.
3. The teacher whispers a list of 4 short animal words to the first children (e.g., CAT, DOG, PIG, FOX).
4. The first child writes the first letter of the first word on the back of the second child using their finger. The "telegram" travels down the line letter by letter.
5. The last child writes the letters they feel on the paper.
6. The team that correctly writes all 4 words first wins.
- Teacher's Words:
- "Let's go to the corridor! Line up in 4 trains. The last person in the train faces the window—you have a pen and paper. I will whisper 4 words to the captains at the front. Captains, you must write the letters with your finger on the back of the person in front of you. No speaking! Pass the telegram!"
9. Outdoor Game: "Hot Potato" (Vocabulary Blitz)
Location: Outdoors (Yard)
Equipment: A ball
- Procedure:
Children stand in a big circle. The teacher throws the ball to a student and names a category. The student catches the ball, quickly shouts a word from that category, and throws it back or to another student. If a student hesitates for more than 3 seconds, they are out or have to do a fun forfeit (like hopping on one leg).
- Categories to Cycle Through:
1. Animals (Lion, Monkey, Elephant...)
2. Fruits (Apple, Banana, Orange...)
3. Vegetables (Potato, Tomato, Carrot...)
4. Weather / Clothes (Sunny, Rainy / T-shirt, Jacket...)
5. Body Parts (Head, Shoulders, Knees...)
6. Transport (Train, Plane, Car...)
7. Food (Pizza, Pasta, Ice cream...)
- Teacher's Words:
- "Let's catch some fresh air! Stand in a big circle. This ball is a HOT POTATO. Don't hold it for long! I will throw it and say a category, for example: FRUITS! You catch it, say 'Apple!', and throw it back. Ready?"
10. Reflection & Goodbye
Location: Outdoors / Classroom (Sitting or standing in a circle)
- Procedure:
Students hold hands or stand in a circle. Each student finishes the sentence: "Today I liked... most of all."
- Teacher's Words:
- "We had an amazing day today! Let's share our emotions. Tell me, what did you like the most today? For me, I loved your miming under the rain!"
- Possible Answers:
- Student 1: "I liked the Telegram game!"
- Student 2: "I liked drawing the sheep."
- Student 3: "I liked playing Hot Potato outside."
...
- Teacher's Words:
- "Thank you, everyone! You did a brilliant job today. High fives all around, and see you tomorrow! Bye-bye!"
