Objectives: to develop lexical skills;

1. Introduction.

 T: Glad to see you, dear students. Take your seat.

The weather is wonderful today  and I hope that your mood will be the same to the end of  our lesson.

To understand what will

Yes, you are right. Today we’ll  speak  on the topic ART.

During today’s lesson you’ll do different tasks, we’ll practice your reading, listening and   speaking skills.  I hope you’ll get only positive emotions.

So, open your copybooks  and write down the date .

So, let’s get to start!

2. Warm-up

Method. Conversation

  Look at the blackboard- there are some expressions about  Art that were said by famous people. Try to explain them:

Art is long life is short.

Art makes the world go round.

Each great work of Art has a fascinating story to tell you.

Let me ask you something, what is not art?

3. Introduction of the motto. 

Method. Discussion

I agree with you completely. We speak about it cos it has different modern phenomena  and expressions. And to be well-educated you should have an idea about Art generally and its element. The motto of today’s lesson is : “Beauty of the world belongs to all people”

5. Non- translative  method of lexicalization.

The main aim of Art is “to entertain”. “To entertain” means  to provide (someone) with amusement or enjoyment.

T: So, let’s look at the examples and try to choose the correct definition to each derivative of this word. Listen to me and choose the correct word.

c. It is a modern form of   art and  entertainment  which borrows from the other arts, such as  music, drama and literature, but is dependent   for its origin on technological  development.

d. In ancient Greece it was a realistic comedy with speech and exaggerated gestures, movements and   facial expressions replace dialogue. It has developed as a form of theatre,   particularly   in  France.

8. Writing

At the previous lesson you got the proactive problem – to make the description of four genres of Art, but which you’ll describe   we’ll decide with the help of papers.

Children choose one of the colours :  yellow- portrait;  red- landscape; blue- still life; green-icons.
