Інтегрований урок англійської мови та інформатики у 8-му класі на тему "Екологія сьогодні" ("Ecology Today")

 

 

Тип уроку: урок  узагальнення та систематизації раніше засвоєних знань, бінарний урок (англійська мова та інформатика).

Форма проведення: дослідницька проектна робота.

Цілі уроку:

• закріплення умінь та навичок застосування інформаційних та комунікаційних технологій у дослідницькій роботі учнів на тему “Екологія сьогодні” англійською мовою;
• вміння представити свій проект англійською, використовуючи програми презентацій.

Завдання уроку:

Практичні:

• Активізація лексики по темі: “Екологія”.
• Тренування учнів у монологічному та діалогічному.мовленні
• Розвиток уміння говоріння на основі прочитаного.
• Формування навичок читання англійською.

Виховні завдання:

• Усвідомлення екологічних реалій рідного міста.
• Виховння культури оформлення електронних проектів
• Розширення мовного  етикету
• Розвиток  почуття любові та дбайливого ставлення до природи рідного краю.

Розвиваючі завдання:

Розширення загального філологічного кругозору учнів.

Розвиток пізнавальної та творчої активності, допитливості, самостійності учнів

I.Початок уроку:

Тeacher: Good morning, boys and girls!

Pupils: Good morning!

Teacher: How are you today?

Pupils: Fine, thanks, and you?

Teacher: I am O.K. Is anybody absent today?

Pupil 1: N. is absent today.

Teacher: Is she ill?

Pupil 1: Yes, she is.

Teacher: Today we have an unusual lesson, a combined lesson of English and Information Technology. We’ll speak about the world around us, about our environment with the help of computing.

  English and Computer Science are closely related. Successful work on a computer largely depends on a good knowledge of the English language. At the lessons in the 7th form, we got acquainted with the keyboard, and you noticed that the keyboard buttons have English names.

Shift, Enter, Back  Space, Caps  Lock,Page  Down, Home, End, Insert, Delete, Page Up

This is the first meeting with English at the Computer Science lesson.Also last year, we mastered the Paint graphic editor with you, in which you created graphic images, and also gained skills in working with the POWERPOINT presentation program. We met with the Microsoft Word word processor, which also has an English name. We learned how to work with spreadsheets EXCEL In high school  we will study a lot of computer programs, and they also have the English names. These are  programs for creating Microsoft Access databases, professional raster editor Adobe Photoshop, professional vector editor Corel Draw, programming languages Vbasic, Python. We will also get acquainted with the HTML hypertext markup language. English will be the best assistant, because all programming language commands are written in English.

2. Повідомлення теми, цілей та завдань уроку:

Teacher :Today's lesson is unusual. You need to show how you can use the Power Point program you met last year in a computer science class. To do this, you were given a project task on "Ecology Today". The theme of our lesson is “Ecology Today”.

  На інтерактивній дошці виводиться назва теми, змінюються слайди-зображення видів природи, звучить аудіозапис живих звуків лісу.

Teacher: We’ll speak about our environment, discuss main ecological problems and watch your projects on this theme. But let’s stop for a while and listen.  What do you hear?

Pupil 1: We hear the sounds of the forest.

Pupil 2: We hear birds singing.

Teacher: Do you like to be in the forest?

Pupils: Yes, I do.

Teacher: Do you like to listen to birds? Do you like to watch animals?

Pupils: Yes, of course.

- So as you see the forest is a habitat for animals, it is their home. And our home is our planet Earth in general. The Earth is our home. But nowadays it has a lot of problems.

That’s why we are having an ecological conference concerning our environment and its problems.

And now I’d like to introduce the participants of our conference:

Teacher: Today some our experts will work on the computers using the Internet and looking for answers to the questions about the ecology of the Earth.

By the way, do you know what Earth Day is?

Pupils: “День Землі”?

Teacher: Yes, right. Do you know when it is celebrated?

Pupils: No, we don’t.

Teacher: Our experts will answer this and other questions a bit later. So, experts, take your tasks, go to the computers and start working. You may use any search system you like in order to find the answers to the given questions. You may copy the tables, emblems on your computers.

• Pupil 5: Yes, it is.

6.Are there any ecological problems?

• Pupil 6: Yes, there are.

Teacher: So, let’s name the main ecological problems once more.

IV Захист проектів

(Презентації учнів виводяться на інтерактивну дошку).

Teacher: Now it’s time for you to speak about our environment and problems of nowadays. As we have already said we live on the Earth, it is our home. But what is our home like? What is our hometown like? Does it have any problems? Our experts will answer these and other questions.

 

We’ll start with the project “Our Native Town”. Please experts Valeria and Ksenia.

Teacher: Thank you very much for the project. Boys and girls, have you got any questions?

Teacher: As you see every town has its problems. What can you tell us about the condition of water?

Teacher: As you see people have always polluted their surroundings. As a result of it rare species of birds, animals, fish and plants disappear. To control rare species The Red Book was created.

To save rare animals, birds, plants reserves were created.

Учні -"експерти", що працювали в мережі Інтернет представляють відповіді на запитання, пред'являють знайдену інформацію, використовуючи ІКТ.

Вчитель залучає інших учнів до обговорення інформації та ставить запитання щодо пошукових систем, що використовувалися  учнями при роботі.

VI. Заключний етап уроку:

 1.Підбиття підсумків уроку.

Teacher: So you see we live in a beautiful world and we must think about our future in order to save it.

На інтерактивній дошці з'являється цитата англійського письменника Д.Голсуорсі та звучить повільна музика.

“If you don’t think about the future, you won’t have it”, said the famous English writer J. Galsworthy. How do you understand these words? What must we do to save our planet?
