PROCEDURE
I. INTRODUCTION (Slide 1) ( 7
Наша сьогоднiшня зустрiч не зовсiм звичайна.
English Teacher: - Good afternoon, dear friends! Glad to see you! Today we are going to speak about music, because people can't live without it.
(Slide 2)
Our motto today is: «Music is the wine, that fills the cup of silence.»
Robert Fripp said these words.
For everybody present to get a feeling of beauty music brings into the world let’s start our today’s meeting with listening to our girls singing a wonderful song by Groove Coverage «God is a girl»
(Slide 3).
Pupil1: MUSIC is everywhere.
In the birds of the air.
In the hum of the honeybee.
In the song of the breeze
As it shivers the trees.
In the river that murmurs
Over the stones.
In the snow wind that moans.
In the surge of the sea
Lapping the shore.
In the roar of the storm
Rattling the door.
In the drum of the rain
On the window pane.
Music is here.
Falling our ear
.
Pupil 2:
II. WARM-UP (3 хв.)
English Teacher: Well, children! What do you think about the place
music takes in our life?
Pupil 1: We can hear music everywhere: in the streets, in the shops, in the parks, in the cars, on the radio, on TV. People buy CDs, go to different concerts, visit concert halls and opera theatres. Music really helps us to live.
Pupil 2:For someone music is just a hobby. They learn to play musical instruments, sing in the choirs or tries to compose music.
Pupil 3: For somebody else music is a profession. There are professional singers who sing alone or in a group, musicians who play different instruments in orchestras, composers who write music and conductors who direct choirs and orchestras. The names of the best of them are known all over the world.
Pupil 4: Famous people know much about music and these quotations are for you. Read them.
