Назва заходу: «Подорож до Великої Британії».

Форма: гра-змагання.

Цілі заходу:  

• узагальнити країнознавчі знання учнів, отримані на уроках англійської мови;
• розвивати непідготовлену мову учнів;
• розвивати креативні здібності учнів;
• виховувати інтерес до вивчення предмета.

Завдання заходу:

Практичні:

• активізувати пізнавальний інтерес до історичного минулого та сучасності Великої Британії, її мови;
• систематизувати знання учнів з англійської мови;
• формувати вміння усного мовлення.

Освітні:

• розширювати освітній кругозір учнів з англійської історії, географії, літератури;
• підвищувати пізнавальну цікавість в учнів до мови через ігрову ситуацію.

Розвиваючі:

• розвивати вміння працювати в колективі та приймати спільне рішення;
• розвивати позитивні особистісні якості (відповідальність, доброзичливість, почуття взаємодопомоги);
• розвивати і тренувати увагу, пам'ять, мислення.

Виховні:

• формувати і підтримувати у учнів зацікавленість історією Великобританії;

• виховувати почуття дружби та поваги до англомовного народу та доброзичливе ставлення до оточуючих.

Обладнання: на дошці назва гри «Great Britain», прапори англомовних країн, запис інструментальної музики, запис пісні “My Bonny is over the ocean”, запис бою курантів Біг Бена, гімн Великобританії, увертюра (з кінофільму «Пригоди Шерлока Холмса»), запис мелодії з телепередачі «Що? Де? Коли?» (чорна скринька). 

                                                            Хід заходу

I етап. Організаційний момент. Вступне слово учителя.

Звучить гімн Великобританії.

Teacher: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our intellectual game! I'm very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called "Intellectual Game". Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest.

Teacher: Сьогодні на вас чекає надзвичайна подія — ви вирушаєте в подорож! Учитель читає вірш.

Today we shall travel to Great Britain. Our trip will be merry and interesting.

You will learn about sightseeing and history of Great Britain.  So let me introduce the United Kingdom.

Teacher: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland consists of England,                                                                     

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The capital of England is London. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. The capital of Wales is Cardiff. The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast. England is the heart of Britain.

Королева Єлизавета II керує державою з 1952 року. Вона живе в Лондоні, у Букінгемському паласі.

There are lots of places of interest in London: the Houses of Parliament, Tower, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, London Eye.

Додатковий конкурс “Draw a picture”.

T: You’ll listen to a short story and your task is to draw what’s the story about. Teams get paper and colored pencils.

There is a big house in the middle of the picture. The house is yellow with red roof. There are two windows in the house and one door. To the left of the house there is a green tree. To the right of the house there are two flowers. One flower is red, the second flower is blue. Under the tree there is a black dog, on the tree there is a fat cat.

III. Заключний етап. Підведення підсумків гри. 

Teacher: Отже, наша гра завершується. Зараз я попрошу наше шановне журі порахувати бали.  Let’s watch a video about Great Britain (учні дивляться відео поки журі рахують бали).
