The topic of the lesson «Improve your English through song lyrics» 

Завдання уроку:

Навчальні:

1) закріпити та узагальнити лексичний матеріал за темою «Environmental protection», граматичний матеріал (Passive  voice);

2) тренувати навички сприймання мовлення на слух у рамках даної теми.

Розвиваючі:

1) розвивати вміння слухати, розуміти почуте та робити висновки;

2) розвивати творчі здібності учнів;

3) вчити сприймати англійську мову через пісні.

Виховні:

1) прищеплювати любов до природи;

2) акцентувати увагу на важливості захисту довкілля.

Обладнання: мультимедійний проєктор, підручник, стікери.

                                                        Хід уроку:

I. Організаційний момент.

1. Привітання.

T: Good day, my dear friends. I’m glad to see you. We are also pleased to see our guests here today and we’ll try to make our lesson useful and interesting. Today we are having our last lesson this term and our aim is to summarize our knowledge and discuss how you can improve your English.

T: How do think what should you do to understand and communicate Enghish?

II. Повідомлення мети та цілей уроку. Очікування.

T:During our last unit  we spoke about environmental protection. Today we`ll combine our last thim with one of the method improving English.  ? So our today’s topic is “Improve your English through song lyrics”. Guess, what are we going to do today?

T: Have you ever heard the name Michael Jackson? Who was he?

People’s answer

T: M.J. was a famous singer. One of his popular song is “Earth Song”.

When you will listen it try to understand the main idea of the song.

T: Was it difficult to understand the song?

T:  1) Do you understand all of the lyrics? Probably not! But don't worry – people hardly ever understand every word of a song the first time they hear it. The words have to fit the rhythm of the music, so they are often difficult to understand. 

    2) Listen to the song again while you read. Now it starts to make a bit more sense! Make a note of new or interesting words and phrases. You don't have to look up every single word in the dictionary. Try to learn five to ten new words per song.

   3) You may notice some strange-looking words! Some words in songs are written as they are pronounced. 'Wanna', for example, is an informal spelling of 'want to'. What about 'gonna' and 'gimme'? What are these informal spellings of? As you listen, notice how phrases are pronounced. This really helps you understand people when they're talking fast.

    4) As you listen, start to join in with the easier parts. Sing as quietly or as loudly as you want!

    5) Listen to the song a few more times, and each time join in with a little bit more. By now the song is really in your head! You're really feeling the rhythm of the music and the lyrics.
