The history of the Ukrainian cinema dates back to 1893. The first films were “Natalka-Poltavka”, “Bogdan Khmelnitsky”.

The Best Ukrainian movies are over years, interesting and under appreciated abroad. You won‘t understand two third of the plots unless you are Ukrainian.

Every week 1,7 million people go to the cinema in Britain. Seven out of ten go to the cinema from time to time. Young people between the ages of 7 and 14 go most often. People over 45 rarely go. In Britain there is a system to protect young people from unsuitable films. These are some of the categories

Every week , 1.7 million people go to the cinema in Britain.Today , most British and American films are sold as videos for viewing on television at home , as well as shown in cinemas . In Britain, over 73 % of homes have a video recorder and many people regularly rent films from video shops.

Ukraine doesn’ t make many films per year. In Ukraine people go to the cinema from time to time. Young people go most often. The best Ukrainian movies are interesting over years and underappreciated abroad . The film industry and television often works together. Many films are actually paid for by a television company.

India makes the most films per year. Every day, 15 million Indians go to the cinema. Countries such as Japan, Italy and France all make more films than the Americans, but their audiences are much smaller.

Although America makes only about 250 films each year, Hollywood still dominates the film industry. You can see American films in almost every country in the world.
