The Past Simple Tense is used to talk about activities or situations that began and ended in the past (e.g. yesterday, last night, two days ago). Most Past Simple verbs are formed by adding -ed to a verb (e.g. Jack studied last night). Some verbs have irregular past forms (e.g. I ate breakfast this morning).
