The subject of the lesson : Holidays

The aims:

Practical aims: learn new words , ask and answer about holiday activities in Present Simple,  give short answers, to give an interview, write story about holidays.

Educational aims: pupils will practice listening, speaking, reading, writing.

Cultural aims: spend time with family on holidays.

Materials and visual aids:  flashcards, pictures, a tape recorder, blackboard, video.

THE PROCEDURE OF THE LESSON

I. Greeting and conversational warm-up.

Teacher: Good morning, dear children! I`m glad to see you! (пісня Good morning)

The main part of the lesson.

II. Home lesson check. Listening. Listen the story and find words from your hometask.

Look at our flashcards : Photo album weekend, ski, year, mountain, winter, summer.

III. New material representation (defining the topic of the lesson)

Teacher: Today at the lesson, we’ll ask and answer about holidays and we’ll learn new words, give short answers, to give an interview, write a story ‘Holidays’. So let’s start our lesson!

IV. Lexical Practice

Опрацювання нових ЛО Walk, park, postcards. I’ve got some pictures, what’s this? Let’s make word combinations with write, in the. (walk in the park, write postcards)

V. Grammar rule review. Do you walk in the park on holidays? Do you write postcards on holidays? So, how do we make questions? We put Do on the first place.

Do you play basketball?

-Do you swim?

- Do you ride a bike? Use short answers.

There is a very big man, Gulliver. Is he on holidays? Look at the screen and answer this question.

VII. Dialogue. Ask your questions to your classmates. Use short answers: Yes, I do. No, I don’t.

Interview. This is a journalist. He asks some questions, answer please.

Open your P.B.p21  read Learn with Tag. How do we make questions? We put Do on the first place.

VIII. Writinging practice.

Ex. 4 p.21 read Carla’s story. My holiday.

I’m on holiday in the mountains with my family. In the morning we ski. In the afternoon we play games. In the afternoon we write postcards.

Let’s create a story ‘holidays’(picture story).

And now write your postcards.
