Матеріал спрямований на опрацювання нової лексики з теми «Мій день», вивчення прислівників частотності, а також розвиток умінь аудіювання, говоріння та письма. Під час уроку учні закріплюють Present Simple у мовленні.

Subject:   How I plan my day

Objectives:

  • to practise new vocabulary;
  • to learn adverbs of frequency;
  • to practice to talk how often people do things;
  • to develop listening, speaking and writing skills;

Vocabulary: wake up [weɪk ʌp], early [ʹᴈlɪ], show [ʃəʊ], bird [j:], late [leɪt], want [wɒnt], next to [nekst tu:], always [ʹɔ:lw(ə)ɪz], sometimes [ʹsʌmtaɪmz], never [ʹnəvə].

I Greeting

Good morning, pupils! I am glad to see you. Today we are going to learn some new grammar, to do the exercises, to play a game and to sing songs. So, let's start!

Lexical warming up

How are you today? Tell me, please, what day is it today? What month is it? an d what season is it?

II Main part

1. Grammar revision

Affirmative

I/you/we/they play.

He/she/it plays.

We are studying Present Simple now. Do you remember how do we form affirmative sentences in the Present Simple Tense? To form Present simple with I/You/We/They we just use a verb (go, sleep, watch), to form Present Simple with He/She/It we add ending -s or -es to the verb:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Phonetic warm-up.

As we add -s or -es to the verb, in the end of the word we can hear the sound /s/, /ız/ or /z/. Let's practise. These three sounds are on the board and you have to stick each word to the column with the correct sound.

3. Presenting new material

First of all we have to revise the words from the previous lesson.

Today we are going to learn some adverbs of frequency.

They are: always, sometimes, never.

We use adverbs of frequency before the main verb.

She never goes to school on Sunday.

We use such expressions as      in the end of the sentence.

6. Game

Let's play a game. There will be three teams, each team will get cards with the words, clothes pegs and washing lines. The task is to Order the words to make sentences.

Team 1: I always wake up early.

Team 2 We sometimes play tennis.

Team 3 She never swims in the river.

7 Speaking

You were to prepare some projects about what you do in every season of the year.
