I. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного матеріалу.
T. Good morning, dear children. I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine today. So let’s start our lesson.

T. So children, today we are going to speak about weather and different kinds of weather. At our lesson we will read the text about weather, listen to the monologue about seasons, speak about the weather forecast for February, do different and interesting exercises to the topic, sing songs and dance.
T. Let’s start. Answer my questions:

T. There are many proverbs and sayings about weather. Look at the screen. In these figures is hidden saying about the weather. Each figure has its own letter. Your task is to guess the saying.

T. Before we start reading the text we should practice our new vocabulary. Look at the screen. There you have English words and pictures. Repeat words all together after me and guess the meanings of them by pictures. Is it clear?

T. And now let’s read the text. Read it attentively to be able to do exercises after reading.
T. P1 begins reading the text aloud. All the rest follow the reading in their books, then the second pupil goes on reading and so on. Is it clear?
Sometimes the clouds are very low, so low that they lie on the ground, the trees, the plants, the grass. We call that fog.
There are little drops of water that make bigger drops. These drops are heavy. They cannot float in the air, so they fall down. And that is rain. When rain and sunshine meet, we can see a very beautiful rainbow.
When the air is very cold, the raindrops freeze. They freeze into hard little balls. We call that hail.
In winter the water freezes in the clouds, and then falls in little flakes or snowflakes. That is snow. Millions and millions of snowflakes come down. They are white, cold and soft.
And what is ice? It is cold and hard. If it is thick, it is very strong. The ice is so strong that you can skate on it. But do you know what ice is? It is water. If you put ice in a warm place, it melts, and you can see that it is only frozen water.
