Тема уроку:   Подорожуємо Великою Британією

Мета уроку:

     - дидактична: розвивати вміння усного мовлення за темою, вчити використовувати

                                додатковий матеріал за темою, вчити спонтанному мовленню,

                                удосконалювати навички аудіювання, навчити  вживати лексику      

                                з теми, відповідати на запитання, узагальнити та систематизувати                                       набуті знання, вміння та навички.

    -  розвиваюча:   розвивати мовленнєву реакцію, вчити логічно і послідовно викладати

                                свої думки, узагальнювати одержану інформацію та робити висновки.

    - виховна:           виробляти навички культури спілкування, зацікавити  розширенням

                                 своїх знань, виховувати прагнення досягати поставленої мети.

Тип уроку:   урок застосування знань, навичок і вмінь.

Матеріально - технічне забезпечення:  ноутбук, інтерактивна дошка,

                                               картки з завданнями, роздатковий матеріал, опорні матеріали, підручник.

Procedure

  Ι .    Introduction

      Teacher: Good morning, everybody! You are welcome to our world travel agency “Journey”. Let us make your dreams come true!

Today we’ll make brochures of different parts of Great Britain. I divided you into four groups. Each group will make a brochure of 1 part.

The 1^st – about England

The 2^nd – about Scotland

The 3^rd – about Wales

The 4^th – about Northern Ireland

  Warming-up 

      Teacher: At first let’s thing and say. Why do people want to travel?

Say only three reasons. Why will people travel to your country?

Pupils: (to meet new friends, to visit places of interest….)

Teacher: How can people travel?

What kind of transport can travel to your country?

Pupils: (by plane, by train, by car…)

ΙΙ .    Main part

Listening: Pre-listening

Teacher: We are going to listen the text about four parts of Great Britain. Your task is choose only those places of interest which are in your country. And say about population in your country.

But at first name us the capitals of your country.

Pupils: (London is the capital of England.

Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland

Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland

Cardiff is the capital of Wales)

While-listening: (учні переглядають відео)

Post-listening: Учні відповідають і відповідь приклеюють на брошуру.

Pupils: In ….you can visit…. In ….population is…

Reading: Pre-reading

Teacher: We are going to read about four parts of Great Britain (ex.1, 4 p. 120-121)

Let’s look through New Vocabulary.

At the blackboard you can see new words with pictures and transcriptions. Your task is guess and translate into Ukrainian and find  transcription.

Bottom - the lowest or deepest part of anything, as distinguished from the top.(низ, дно)

Desert - A dry, often sandy region of little rainfall, extreme temperatures, and sparse vegetation.(пустеля)

Hedge - A row of closely planted shrubs or low-growing trees forming a fence or boundary.(огорожа з кущів)

Highlands - A mountainous or hilly section of a country.(узгір’я)

Lowlands - An area of land that is low in relation to the surrounding country. (низина)

Meadow - A tract of grassland, either in its natural state or used as pasture or for growing hay. (луг)

Scenery - A view or views of natural features, especially in open country. (пейзаж, ландшафт)

Valley - An elongated lowland between ranges of mountains, hills, or other uplands, often having a river or stream running along the bottom. (долина)

While-reading:

Teacher: Read the text and find interesting information about your country using the pictures which you’ve got.

Post-reading: Учні розповідають про картинки які отримали використовуючи тексти з підручника ст..120-121.

Video: Where to stay?

Teacher: Choose information where people can stay when they will travel to your country.

Pupils: (house, bungalow, cottage, terraced house, semi-detached house, detached house, hotel…)

ΙΙI .   Finishing the lesson

Presentations: Учні демонструють презентації які підготували вдома про країни Великої Британії.

Summarizing: Dear children! Your work was really good!
