Lesson Plan - English, 7th Grade
Topic: How to Become a Blogger

Goals: expand vocabulary related to blogging and internet activity; practice speaking and expressing opinions; develop reading comprehension and writing skills.
Materials: board, short text for reading, student notebooks.

Warm-up (5 min)

Teacher asks: “Do you watch bloggers or YouTubers?”, “Who is your favorite blogger?”, “What kind of content do you like: gaming, travel, lifestyle, tech?”
Teacher introduces the lesson: “Today we will talk about how to become a blogger.”

Presentation (10-12 min)

Vocabulary introduced and written on the board:
content creator, audience, subscribers, camera, editing, comments, post videos, upload, record, script, social media.
Students repeat after the teacher and create simple sentences:
“I want to have many subscribers.”
“You need interesting content to grow an audience.”

Speaking practice (10 min)

Students work in pairs.
A: “If you had a blog, what would it be about?”
B answers with full sentences: “I would make gaming videos because I like playing Minecraft.”
Teacher encourages longer answers and natural communication.

Reading (10 min)

Students read the text:
“Many young people today dream of becoming bloggers. A good blogger chooses a topic they love, like sport, cooking, or travel. They record videos or write posts regularly and try to make their content interesting. Successful bloggers communicate with their audience, read comments, and improve their skills in editing and speaking. It takes time and patience to grow a channel, but it can also be fun and creative.”
Questions after reading:
What topic can a blogger choose?
What do bloggers do regularly?
How do bloggers communicate with their audience?
Why does it take time to grow a channel?

Writing (8-10 min)

Students write 6-7 sentences about their own imaginary blog.
Example: “My blog would be a travel blog. I would post videos from different cities. I would speak about interesting places. I would answer comments and ask people what they want to see next.”

Wrap-up (5 min)

Teacher asks: “What makes a blogger interesting?”, “Would you like to be a blogger? Why or why not?”
Homework: Students prepare a short plan or outline of their blog (topic, audience, 3 video ideas).
