1. Introducing the topic
T: Today we are going to guess the topic of our lesson.
a) I’ll give you 6 clues :
The cinema
b) Now we are going to guess another part of our topic. Look at the poets words.
All the world’s stage
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances
And one man in his time plays many parts.
Do you know who is this poet?
William Shakespeare, a great English poet and playwright. He wrote in one
of his plays such words.
So what is the topic of our lesson?

T. Today we are going to talk about cinema and theatre. Cinema and TV films have become an important part in our life. We like going to the theatre too. Theatre is a place where you can see a play staged. It is also one of entertainments. We are to admit that theatre is not popular now as it used to be. But still there are hundreds of theatres where the audiences are exited at the prospect of seeing a play and the actors are most encouraged by the warm reception
2. Warming up
Poems
Students read the poem, then the teacher clean from the blackboard some words and 2-3 students tell or act the poem.

T: Now you are going to do some group work.
There are 2 groups. The question is: Which is better cinema or theatre? Each group must argue for one position.
5. Agree/ Disagree.
Teacher posts signs around the room saying “Agree”, “Disagree” and “Don’t know”. The statement is: Cinemas are less popular nowadays as people watch TV and films on computer. Students must stand by the sign that stands for their opinion and give reasons for opinions.
6. Find Someone Who
Students, by asking questions must get the names of classmates who likes such
things.
