What is your favourite program?
Let's listen and watch the extract from the TV programme “Let them talk” (listening, answering the questions).
HOST: Hello, viewers! I’m Amelia Jackson, your host for the weekly “Let them talk” TV programme. Our guest today is a very charming movie star. Can you guess who it is? Linda Fornitta! Here she is. Let’s welcome her! Hello, Linda! You’re always such a goddess.
STAR: Hi, and thank you! It’s so great to be here in your studio once again, Mrs. Edward!
HOST: Well, I can’t help but mention that today is Christmas. This holiday is the most popular in the country. As for you, Linda, this day is doubly special because, as far as I know, it’s your birthday. Am I correct?
STAR: You’re absolutely right. How did you know that?
HOST: Never mind that! May I bring up your personal life? I mean, can I ask you some delicate questions that our viewers may like to know as well?
STAR: Oh, sure! That’s what I’m here for.
HOST: All right, first things first. How do you manage to stay looking so young and so fresh for all these years? Do you eat some special foods, or what?
STAR: Thanks for the compliment. I just do what I like, Mr. Edward. I live my life just to do what makes me happy.
HOST: Nothing seems to worry you at all.
STAR: I try not to care about what might only bring trouble and stress.
HOST: Do you sleep a lot?
STAR: Oh, yes! As long as I need for my body to get a proper rest. But when I don’t sleep, I’m very active.
HOST: Hahaha. That’s what makes you look so fresh and young. Do you eat a lot, by the way?
STAR: No. I wouldn’t say a lot. Two meals a day, as a rule, and I don’t like overeating.
HOST: How do you start your day? Do you get up early?
STAR: I never hurry myself. I’m a late riser.
HOST: A late bird, eh? What about some morning exercises? Do you do any?
STAR: Yes, I do a lot of running all year round, and swimming, too.
HOST: I see. Well, our time’s unfortunately up. Thanks for coming here, Linda. We all hope to see you here again sometime soon enough.
STAR: Thank you for inviting me. I do hope to be here again soon. Bye, everyone!
