Конспект уроку англійської мови для учнів I курсу

Тема: «Традиційна британська кухня».

Урок – це приклад застосування інтерактивних технологій, які передбачають навчальний процес за умови активної взаємодії всіх учнів. На уроці використовуються усі види мовленнєвої діяльності: читання, говоріння, письмо та аудіювання, застосовуються індивідуальні, групові, парні та ігрові форми роботи, методи стимулювання зацікавленості учнів, творча робота. Використання ігрових та інтерактивних форм роботи сприяє ефективнішому засвоєнню матеріалу, виконуючи завдання учні мають змогу визначити свої знання з даної та попередніх тем.

Організація уроку логічно побудована, включаючи різні етапи роботи:

1. Організаційний момент.
2. Перевірка домашнього завдання.
3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.
4. Повідомлення теми, мети і завдань уроку.
5. Усвідомлення і сприйняття учнями матеріалу.
6. Підсумок. Домашнє завдання.

У кінці уроку кожен учень може висловити свої власні враження і думки щодо його проведення. Аналіз виконання завдань та підведення підсумків здійснюється за участю учнів, що створює неформальне середовище навчання, стимулює високу активність та мотивацію учнів.

«Англійська мова»

Тема уроку: “Traditional British Cuisine” («Традиційна британська кухня»)

Мета уроку:

навчальна: активізувати новий лексичний матеріал з теми, розширити кругозір за даною темою та активізувати уже наявні знання учнів;

виховна: викликати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови та повагу до традицій британського народу в харчуванні;

розвиваюча: розвинути зорову та слухову пам'ять, фонематичний слух та вміння і навички у читанні, перекладі, говорінні.

Тип уроку: комбінований.

Матеріально-технічне забезпечення: мультимедійний проектор, комп’ютер, екран.

Навчально-методичне забезпечення: мультимедійна презентація “Traditional British Cuisine”, картки із текстом “English Cookery and Meals”, картки із вправою «Знайди пару», картки із вправою «Правда – неправда», картки із вправою «Хто швидше», відеоматеріал “Food in Britain”, учнівські мультимедійні презентації, ілюстративний матеріал, кросворд.

T: Good morning girls and boys. I am glad to see you again. I hope you are okay today and ready to work hard and enthusiastically .First of all I ask as a usually:

Who is on duty/absent  today?

What is the weather today?

What day/date is it today? etc.

T: At the previous lesson we spoke about our traditional cuisine – Ukrainian. Every person has own tastes and favourite dishes. And your home task for today was to prepare report or presentation of recipe of Ukrainian dish.

T: We continue to speak about the food. The theme which we are going to learn today is very interesting and closely connected with Great Britain. It is a part of the British life. First I propose you to look at the illustrations on the blackboard and tell what is the topic of our lesson.

As you understrand the title of our today's lesson is “Traditional British Cuisine”. We will speak about British food. From the previous lesson you know about food in Ukraine and now I invite you to travel to Great Britain. But first of all I want to ask you: “What is your favourite food in general?”

P1: My favourite food is borsch.

P2: My favourite food is fried potatoes.

P3: My favourite food is chocolate. etc.

Interactive exercise “Associative game”. Інтерактивна вправа «Асоціативна гра»

T: As you know our mood depends on many things. And one of them is our meal. I'd like to add one more saying “A hungry man is an angry man”. What is food for us? What does the word “Food” mean for you? We can answer this question with the help of associative game. Tell me any associative words to keyword “Food”.

P1: borsch.

P2: porridge.

P3: roast chicken.

P4: mashed potatoes.

P5: pancakes, etc.

Speaking

Exercise – game “To make your choice” (Pair work). Вправа – гра «Зроби свій вибір» (Робота в парах)

T: You know that people can't live without good weather, air, water and food. So let's continue to speak about your food and meals with the game “To make your choice”. You must work in pair. Put the question to your partner what you want to choose from the list and your partner must answer. Then vice versa:

1. What do you eat for breakfast?
2. What do you usually have for dinner?
3. What do you usually have for supper?
4. What was your last meals?

T: Before speaking about British food I propose you to travel to the country of proverbs. We will do it with an interactive exercise “Find a pair”. Your task is to find the correct translation of the proverbs.

T: In order to have a talk about British food, we need some special vocabulary. We’ll continue our lesson with the text «English Cookery and Meals.

T: There is a new lexicology on the screen, so let’s look at it and repeat it after me:

“English Cookery and Meals”

With the exception of breakfast meals in England are much the same as in another countries. The usual meals in Great Britain are breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. The English are very fastidious about their meals and keep to their meal timesstrictly. Breakfast time is between 7 and 9 a. m. Many people like to begin it with porridge.

English people eat porridge with milk or cream and sugar, but the Scots —and Scotland is the home of porridge — never put sugar in it.

Then comes bacon and eggs, marmalade with toast and tea or coffee.

For a change you can have a boiled egg, cold ham or perhaps fish.

The two substantial meals of the day, lunch and dinner, are more or less the same.

Lunch is usually taken at one o'clock.

Many people, who go out to work, find it difficult to come home for lunch and go to a café or a restaurant, but they never miss a meal.

Lunch is a big meal — meat or fish, potatoes and salad, puddings or fruit are quite usual for it. In the afternoon, about four o'clock, the English have a cup of tea and a cake, or a slice or two of bread and butter.

Tea is very popular with the English; it may be called their national drink.

Tea is accompanied by ham, tomatoes and salad, bread and butter, fruit and cakes.

Dinnertime is generally about half past seven or later. In some houses dinner is the biggest meal of the day. They begin with soup, followed by fish, roast chicken, potatoes and vegetables, fruit and coffee. But in great many English homes the midday meal is the chief one of the day, and in the evening they only have light meal, for example, bread and cheese and a cup of coffee or cocoa and fruit.

T: Do you know much about British food? What facts do you know? In several minutes we will watch the film about British food and play the game “True – False”. Be attentive and try to remember the information.

T: I would like to ask you to work in groups. Having analyzed the text and video we know a lot about British food. Now your task is to make three different lists answering the question: “What do British people have usually for breakfast ( 1^st group), lunch (2^nd group) and dinner (3^rd group)?”
