Children’s day out in London.

London is a very bi town. It’s nearly twice as big as Kyiv. And it’s very expensive. So, if you’ve only got one day, you need to plan carefully.

1. We advice you to buy a travelticket. You can use it on the buses or the Tube all day – after 9.30 in the morning.

  Before 9.30 is the rush hour. 7.5 million  people live in London and another million come into the city to work every morning – so the rush hour is pretty busy.

  2. Won’t you mind to go to London’s famous musicals? Without a problem! Go to Leicester Square. Get cheap tickets for tonight at the half-price ticket place.

 From that place you can go to Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column, a famous London sight.

  3.Do you like shopping? Remember, London is the capital of cool! How to shop on a budget? Well, try the shopping in Marks and Spenser or in Tesko. You’ll find lots of great things!

  4. Are you hungry as a hunter? We may advice you a sandwich. (Did you know that the English invented the sandwich?)

  5. The next stop is the Natural History Museum. You can see huge dinosaurs there or the British Museums. You can see real mummies there. Both are free! And the museum shops are great for interesting souvenirs or gifts.

  6. And if you are tired, what about  a trip on the Docklands Light Railwa. It goes past the new buildings in the Dockland area, east of Tower Bridge. You can use your Travel tickets for this trip too.

  7. Now it’s time for a bit of culture. On your way to the theatre, you will probably see somebody like this. She’s homeless. She’s selling the magazine “The Big Issue”. Buy a magazine and help her.
