«GIRLS VS BOYS»

Мета: оцінити знання, інтелектаульні можливості, кмітливість,        

           артистичність учнів;

           розвивати логічне мислення, пам’ять, увагу, вміння швидко реагувати    

           в проблемній ситуації;

           виховувати в учнів інтерес інтелектуально-розважальних ігор, бажання 

           здобути перемогу і вміння сприйняти поразку.

Обладнання: картки із завданнями, наочність для конкурсів.

ХІД ЗАХОДУ

      Ведучий: Dear friends! Today we have a very interesting competition. Two teams of girls and boys  will show us their knowledge of English. I think it will be amusing and you'll enjoy it.  But first. Let’s introduce our Judges(ПІБ журі)__________________________________

Now it’s time to introduce the teams.

Teams, you are welcome. The first competition is a presentation of the team and its captain.

1.   Представлення команд, тлумачення назв, представлення капітана. (Учні представляють свої команди.)

Now, let`s start our game.

The first round is called “Collect the letters”. I need 5 members from each group. You’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. The rules: I’ll read you a question and you have put these letters in the right order, so as to get the answer. Ready? Let’s start! But let’s decide who will start first. Let’s toss the coin - Obverse and reverse

For girls (L-C, O-K,  N-M, E-I, I-E)

1. My paws are big and strong,

My tail is very long,

My mane is fine and thick,

And I am very big. (lion)

2. Clean, but not water; White, but not snow; Sweet, but not honey. What is it? (Milk.)
3. This is a type of green fruit

Which grows on a citrus tree. It is green but not a frog. It is a fruit but not an apple (lime)

4. What is a cat’s favorite breakfast? (mice)

For boys (B- I, A- F, N- E, R-H, H-R)

1. What is found over your head but under your hat? ( hair)
2. I live in the woods.

I’m very big and furry.

I like to eat fish, berries and honey.

I am a… (BEAR)

3. What comes down but never goes up?  (Rain) 
4. If you give me water, I will die  (fire)

Ведуча. Let’s ask the jury about the score.

2^nd round  - « Pantomime».

Now I invite captains  to choose a card. You have to mime words to your team and they have to guess them.

       Капітани отримують картки із словами певних тем. Вони повинні жестами та мімікою зобразити слово, а команда – відгадати та промовити його англійською мовою. Professions  - doctor, driver, fire fighter, cook, teacher, pilot, singer, painter, hairdresser, shop assistant.

Animals  – monkey, lion, dog, cock, fish, pig, horse, crocodile, frog, kangaroo.

Actions – playing football, riding a horse, watching TV, eating ice – cream, jumping, running, reading a book, driving a car, playing computer games, sleeping.

3d round -  «Do you know this famous people?».  I need 4 members from each team. Your task is to tell about the famous person and your team have to guess the name.Don’t say the names, only facts.

Учасники кожної  команди отримують фото відомих людей. Завдання: розповісти про видатну людину, не називаючи її імені. Решта учнів у команді повинні здогадатись хто це.

For girls : Queen Elizabeth II, T. Shevchenko, brothers Klichko, Jamala.

For boys:  Yana Klochkova, Lesia Ukrainka, Okean Elzy, Petro Poroshenko.

Round 4. « The telephone is out of order»

Make a line. The first pupil must read a sentence and say it to the other and so on. The last pupil must write it on the board.

    Завдання : вишикуйтесь у шеренгу спинами один до одного на відстані одного кроку. Перший учень повинен прочитати і запам’ятати речення, потім переказати іншому і т.д. Завдання останнього – написати речення на аркуші паперу. (Boys and girls can be best friends)

Round 5 “Correct mistakes”. Your task is to correct mistakes in the sentences.

Завдання: виправити помилку в реченнях

1. He are my best friend.

2. Children usually goes to school in the morning.

3. I    am    at school  yesterday.

4. The first month of the school year is October.

5. The national language of Ukraine is American.

6. Englishmen speak French.

7. Summer holidays last 1 month.

8. The first month of the year is March.

Round 6. «Match the person»

Boys, you have to match the girls according their things.

Girls, put the boys in order they have friends  in VK. On the first place put that has the most and on the last place - the least.
