Позакласний захід з англійської мови     “Spring is coming”

Мета:

- розвивати вміння працювати у групі, логічно мислити, виділяти головне, узагальнювати в ситуативних завданнях, які не передбачають попередньої підготовки;

-    розширювати світогляд студентів;

- удосконалювати лексичні навички;

- підвищувати інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови.

Задачі:

- сприяти формуванню у студентів толерантності по відношенню одне до одного і до культури країни, мова якої вивчається;

- сприяти розвитку інтересу до мови, що вивчається;

- розвивати мовні, інтелектуальні, пізнавальні, творчі здібності.

Оснащення: мультимедійна презентація, відеоматеріали, картки із завданнями.

Попередня підготовка: студенти діляться на команди, готують назву, девіз команди, символ Великодня на власний розсуд.

Місце проведення:  кабінет англійської мови

Teacher: Hello, dear students! Dear guests, you are welcome to our English class. We are very happy to see you at our competi­tion “Spring is coming”. It is devoted to one of the most favorite season - spring. I'm sure you love this season and know everything about it. I wish you success, be active, honest, industrious and helpful and you'll be sure to win.

 

    Teacher: Look through the window. What do you see? It is spring, of course. The sky is blue. The sun shines brightly and everything is bright and colourful. Snow melts and the birds return from the south countries. The first grass appears. We can see the spring flowers everywhere: tender snowdrops, yellow daffodils, tulips of different colours. The first green leaves appear from the buds. They are tiny at first and they glitter in the sun.  All the spring colours are very bright.

“Blooming spring”

Teacher: So, let’s start our competition. And the first task is to choose the right variant of a word to a picture. You have some minutes to do this task. Then we’ll check answers. Remember, we are speaking about spring!

                                                       “Garden life”

 

Teacher: Spring is also the favourite season for gardeners. They prepare the land for planting the seeds of vegetables and flowers. They water the trees, the bushes and the plants. They also meet different small animals in the garden. Next task for you is to match the riddles with the pictures, write the animals in the crossword and discover where the girl goes on Sundays.

Teacher: Spring is a fascinating time of year for watching birds in your garden, as they start to settle down for their breeding season. Task is to listen to the singing of different birds and guess what bird it is. Listen to the singing and look at the screen and name the bird in English.

      Teacher: Spring is also the season when we all celebrate the greatest holiday – Easter.  When we speak about Easter in England, we know that it is time for giving and receiving of presents which traditionally take the form of an Easter egg and hot cross buns. The Easter egg is by far the most popular emblem of  Easter, but fluffy little chicks, baby rabbits and spring time flowers like daffodils, dangling catkins are also used to signify the Nature's awakening.
