Goals: We shall speak about sport. Speak about different kinds of sport. Speak about the importance of sport. Make up the dialogues. Do physical exercises. Make up the sentences. Sing a song

Sport. Sport is very important in our life. It is popular with young and old people. Physical training is an important subject at school. We play volleyball, basketball and football at the lessons. There is a sports ground near our school and the pupils go in for sports in the open air. When the weather is cold, we have physical training lessons in the gym. There are summer and winter sports. In summer people go in for football, athletics, gymnastics, volley-ball, basketball, tennis, water sports and track-and-field sports. In winter people go in for hockey, skating, skiing, bob-sleigh. Sport helps people to keep in good health. If you go in for sport, you have good health and don’t catch cold. I like the proverb: “A sound mind is in a sound body”.         My favourite kind of sport is ….      I like playing and watching it on TV. I know a lot of famous Ukrainian sportsmen.
