PLACES OF INTEREST IN KYIV 

Kyiv is famous for its Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra. Kiev-Pecherska Lavra was founded in 1051

Tourists always go to have a look at the monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky, the outstanding Ukrainian statesman and military leader

The Golden Gates. The Golden Gates were founded in 1017-1024

The Andreyevskaya Churchwas build in 1747-1762

Kyiv Shevchenko Opera and Ballet House. The original theatre was founded in 1867 and designed by the great architect I. Shtrom. 

The main street of Kyiv is certainly Khreshchatyk. The Khreshchatyk street is not very long but very impressive. Khreshchatyk looks especially beautiful in spring when chestnut trees are in blossom. The building of this street began at the end of the 18th century. The first houses were wooden. The forming of Khreshchatyk as a street began in the 1830s-40s.

Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Open 4 October 1900 year, the theater is one of the best theaters in Central Europe and Ukraine.
