What is it? The present simple tense is used to describe an action that is regular, true or normal

We use Present Simple for repeated or regular actions in the present time period. I go to school every dayfor facts. Cows eat grass.

We use Present Simple for habits I have cornflakes for breakfast.for things that are always/generally true. They speak English at home.

How to form Present Simple Use the base form of the infinitive (without to) with I / You / We/ They. I visit my granny at weekends. You work as a shop assistant. We live in a small town. They often have chicken for dinner.

How to form Present Simple With “he / she / it” add “s / es” to the end of the verb. He visits his granny at weekends. She lives in a small town. It often rains in England.

SPELLING For verbs that end in –o, -sh, -ch, -ss, -x, -z we add –esgo –wash –catch – fix –buzz -goeswashescatchesfixesbuzzes
