Sport in Great Britain There are three main kinds of sports in Great Britain : football, cricket, rugby.

The most popular of these is football. Football also is known as “soccer”.

Saturday afternoons are the big sports day in Great Britain. Some football grounds have crowds of more than 40,000 people.

Cricket is a strange game that foreigners cant understand. Cricket seems more peaceful. It is played in summer. Rugby, also is known sometimes as “football”. Rugby is a game that is played rather than watched.

If you are not fond of football, cricket or rugby- you are not an Englishman.
