Мета: виховувати та підтримувати мотивацію учнів до оволодіння іноземною    мовою; розширити знання про історію та культуру України; розвивати навички усного мовлення , формувати лінгвокраїнознавчу компетенцію учнів; виховувати любов до Батьківщини.

             

Обладнання: мультимедійний проектор, комп’ютер,  відеоматеріали:

                          ‘Ukraine’, ‘Travel to Ukraine’.

        

      

        

                                                   Хід заходу

 

Ведуча( викладач):

Good morning, dear pupils and guests! You are welcome to the presentation ‘Ukraine is my home!’.  The aim of our meeting to show our knowledge not only of English but about the history, culture, national cuisine of Ukraine. So let’s start our meeting.(video1).

 

Учень:

You have just heard the national anthem  of Ukraine and now we will tell you about other symbols of Ukraine.

P1:

The national emblem of Ukraine is golden trident. It’s derived from three spears of the sea god Poseidon put since Christianity it has symbolized the Holy Trinity.(video 2).

Blue and yellow field of grain

Is on the flag of my Ukraine.

Its emblem speaks to all the entire world

With Freedom – such a lovely world.

     So you have met with Ukrainian national symbols. It’s turn meet with folk symbols of  national  identity and with Ukrainians themselves.

   The plant-symbols of Ukraine are an oak, a willow, a poplar, a periwinkle, marigold  and a snowball tree.

   The plant-symbol of Snowball tree is associated with re-birth, the Universe, the trinity of the Sun ,Moon ,Stars .The berries of the snowball tree are red and they symbolize blood and immortality.

   There are also the animals and the birds-symbols of our Motherland: the horse, the stork, the crane and the nightingale. 

   

 

 

Ведуча( викладач):

Україна — одне з найдорожчих слів, наповнене теплом і ніжністю. Це наша Батьківщина. З чого вона починається? Для одного — з  рідного краю, поля, річки, вишневого саду, квітів, для іншого — з тополі, калини, рідного міста, села, друзів, родини.

With old and reliable friends of yours,

Who live in the neighbouring yards?

 

But maybe it starts with the cradlesong

Your mother once hummed low and sweet,

The memories which no one can take from you,

Ведучий 2. And now we will tell you the legend how God presented the peoples

with gifts and gave Ukraine a song.

Ведучий 1.- Once the Lord of the world decided to present peoples of the planet

with talents.

Frenchmen have chosen a beauty and elegance,

Germans – order and discipline,

 Poles – the ability to trade,

Italians – talent for music.

Ведучий 2.

Having given presents to all,

God saw a beautiful girl in an embroidered shirt and said

- God: Who are you? Why are you crying?

Miss Ukraine: I’m Ukraine and I’m crying because my land is suffering

from blood and fire, slavery and injustice.

- God: Why haven’t you come earlier? I’ve already given all talents.

How can I help you? Well, I’ll give you an immortal treasure –

which will make you famous all over the world. I will give you the song.

Miss Ukraine: Thanks a lot, dear Lord. I’ll bring this song and spread it among all

the Ukrainians.

And love our Ukrainian land.

Із  покоління  в  покоління,  із  року  в  рік,  зі  століття  в століття передаються наші українські національні звичаї, обряди, пісні,   любов, шана до рідної матері, до своєї домівки, до рідної землі, до неньки  України.

Ukraine is famous not only for its songs,

But also for hard—working,

For cherishing and preserving many customs

And traditions. Look at me!

I’m an essential part of every day

Life and ceremonial occasions. I mark

 The celebration of engagement, marriage,

Birth, death, Christmas, Easter.

In ancient times a house without a towel was compared with a family without children,

A towel symbolizes unity, peace in the family, hospitality, and respect among people.

Bandura is one of cultural symbol of our Motherland. Bandura refers to a Ukrainian plucked string folk instrument. It typically has 30 or 68 strings. The earliest mention of the term bandura dates back to a Polish chronicle of 1441.
