Підтема: Вибір професії. Нові ЛО.
Мета: Ввести й активізувати у мові учнів ЛО теми “Вибір професії”. Практикувати учнів у читанні тексту з метою отримання загального уявлення (skimming) та з метою максимально повного й точного розуміння всієї інформації, що міститься в тексті (skanning).
Методико – дидактичне
забезпечення уроку: підручник, комплект “Jigsaw sentences” для “Warm - up” (НО1), “Match the words”(НО2) , “Finish the sentences” (НО3), “Word building” (НО4), “Wordsquare” (НО5)

Aim
1. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.
T: The topic of our lesson is “Choosing a profession”.
By the end of the lesson you should be able:

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу
Game “Jigsaw sentences”.
Give a set of jigsaw sentences to each pair or group of four students. Ask students to make up 3 sentences, then to read them and translate. Which group will be the first one to make up sentences?

Presentation
1. Пред‘явлення теми для спілкування.
T: Why is the school year considered to be very important for you? To have a ninth – year education is very important, but is it enough nowadays? What are you going to do after the ninth form?
а) Виконати вправу 3 (стор. 79 - 80).
T: Read the words with the translation.
б) Знайди пару.

д) Тлумачення ЛО.
T: Do you know the difference between using of the words “occupaton”, “trade”, “profession”?
У чому різниця між словами “occupaton”, “trade”,“profession”? Пояснення вчителя.
An “occupaton” is an activity of any kind for which a person has the necessary qualifications and training.
For example: I’m a teacher by my occupation. My husband is a taxi – driver by by his occupation.
A “ trade” is an occupation, too. A trade is a skilled manual job requiring on – the – job training.
Vocational schools in our country teach different trades: cooking, furniture – making, operating different machines. In these schools you can get training in any trade you may choose.
A “profession” is a kind of occupation for which people must have a spetial education. Very often a profession requires a spetial high education at a institute or university.
For example: a lawyer, an architect, a doctor, a teacher.
But be careful operating with this words. English people speak of the profession of teaching, of medicine, or of the profession of secretary, shop – assistent.
3) Reinforcement. Закріплення ЛО.
а) T: Look at the pictures of ex. 18, p. 84 – 85 and divide the occupations of the people on the pictures in two groups.
Compare your tables with desk – neighdour.
