Розробка уроків по темі: “Робота і професії ” (9 клас)

 

Підтема:  Вибір професії. Нові ЛО.

 

Мета:  Ввести й активізувати у мові учнів ЛО теми “Вибір професії”. Практикувати учнів у читанні тексту з метою отримання загального уявлення (skimming) та з метою максимально повного й точного розуміння всієї інформації, що міститься в тексті (skanning).

 

Методико – дидактичне

забезпечення уроку:       підручник, комплект “Jigsaw sentences” для “Warm - up” (НО₁), “Match the words”(НО₂) , “Finish the sentences” (НО₃), “Word building” (НО₄), “Wordsquare” (НО₅)

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

 Aim  

1. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T: The topic of our lesson is “Choosing a profession”.

By the end of the lesson you should be able:

• to recognize, understand and operate new words and word – combinations when reading the text and doing exercises:
• to identify main ideas and details from the text for reading;
• talk about choosing a profession.

Warm - up 

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу

Game “Jigsaw sentences”.

Give a set of jigsaw sentences to each pair or group of four students. Ask students to make up 3 sentences, then to read them and translate. Which group will be the first one to make up sentences?

Presentation

1. Discussion. Бесіда з учнями.

T: Why is the school year considered to be very important for you? To have a ninth – year education is very important, but is it enough nowadays? What are you going to do after the ninth form?

2. Presenting vocabulary. Уведення та первинна активізація ЛО теми “Вибір професії”.

а) Виконати вправу 3 (стор. 79 - 80).

 T: Read the words with the translation.

б) Знайди пару.

T: Do you know the difference between using of the words “occupaton”, “trade”, “profession”?

У чому різниця між словами “occupaton”, “trade”,“profession”? Пояснення вчителя.

 

 

An  “occupaton” is an activity of any kind for which a person has the necessary qualifications and training.

For example: I’m a teacher by my occupation. My husband is a taxi – driver by by his occupation.

A “ trade” is an occupation, too. A trade is a skilled manual job requiring on – the – job training.

Vocational schools in our country teach different trades: cooking, furniture – making, operating different machines. In these schools you can get training in any trade you may choose.

A  “profession” is a kind of occupation for which people must have a spetial education. Very often a profession requires a spetial high education at a institute or university.

For example: a lawyer, an architect, a doctor, a teacher.

But be careful operating with this words. English people speak of the profession of teaching, of medicine, or of the profession of secretary, shop – assistent.

а) T:  Look at the pictures of ex. 18, p. 84 – 85 and divide the occupations of the people on the pictures in two groups.

 

Compare your tables with desk – neighdour.

b) Scanning. Читння тексту з метою максимально повного та точного розуміння всієї інформації, що міститься в тексті та критичного її осмислення.

T:  Find in the text and read the sentences or them which correspond to the following Ukrainian ones.

3. Post – Reading Activitіes.. Контроль розуміння тексту та виконання післятекстових комунікативних вправ.

1. T:  Answer the questions.

              How many roads are opened before the ninth form pupils?

              Where can ninth form pupils continue their education?

              What profession can you receive at vocational school?

              What examinations must the ninth form pupils pass to enter the technical school?

2. T: Read the last sentence of the text “Choosing a profession”. Express your agreement or disagreement with this statement.

     Впр. 3а, б стор. (79 – 80), вивчити нові слова.

     Впр. 5 (стор.80), при виконанні вправи використовувати таблицю часових форм дієслова на стор. 129 граматичного довідника.
